New Visions Career Academy Fall Service Day!

Today, 92 New Visions Career Academy students volunteered at 7 locations across Broome and Tioga Counties, giving back to the communities that support them!

From packing food boxes and raking leaves to cleaning out rooms, washing emergency vehicles, planting bulbs, organizing clothing, and tackling many other tasks, our students rolled up their sleeves and made a difference in a variety of ways.

Throughout the day, we discussed the importance of volunteering and how so many organizations rely on volunteers to continue serving our communities. It was a great opportunity for students to see firsthand how even the smallest acts of service can have a meaningful impact. Today was a wonderful reminder that strong communities are built by people who are willing to show up and give back!

A huge thank-you to all organizations that welcomed our students and gave them the opportunity to make a difference!

Our New Visions Business Academy students had an amazing experience at the Binghamton University School of Management, connecting with EY Leaders, university administrators, and current students.

A huge thank you to the EY Leaders for planning such a meaningful morning filled with conversations, a student panel, and focus groups. Our students loved the opportunity to ask questions, hear about the college experience, and learn more about what BU has to offer!

We were also thrilled to hear from Dean Dionne and Jerah Reeves, whose enthusiasm for Binghamton University was truly inspiring. 💚

And our walking tour came with some exciting surprises! We had the opportunity to meet BU President Anne D’Alleva as she prepares for her inauguration tomorrow as the eighth President of Binghamton University! We also met Baxter the Bearcat, making the morning even more memorable.

What a fantastic day of learning, connection, and exploring college and career opportunities! We are so grateful to everyone at Binghamton University who welcomed our students and made this experience so special. 💚
