We had the great pleasure of hosting internationally acclaimed soprano and Eastman School of Music faculty member Nicole Cabell as Artist in Residence at the Binghamton University Music Department this April! ✨

Our students had an incredible opportunity to learn from her artistry, insight, and experience. From inspiring masterclasses to a dynamic mock audition workshop with our Master’s in Opera students, Nicole offered invaluable guidance that will resonate far beyond the classroom. She also shared an engaging talk about the life of an opera singer, giving students a real-world perspective on the profession.

Thank you, Nicole, for your generosity, brilliance, and inspiration—we are so grateful you spent this time with us! 🎶

📣Next weekend!! Step into the station… and into the hidden lives of strangers. 🚉 🧳 ⏳📦🪞🎭

The Binghamton University Opera Workshop presents Postcard from Morocco by Dominick Argento, a poetic, quietly surreal opera set in a railway station waiting room.

A group of travelers guard their luggage…and the postcards they never send. Through wit, memory, and longing, their inner worlds unfold in an intimate portrait of private dreams and unspoken desires. Argento’s luminous score brings humor, tenderness, and haunting beauty to this deeply human story.
