Love to argue? Or do you love to put on a performance? Want to gain more courage and develop your public speaking skills? Then check out the Binghamton Mock Trial Association!

We’re a close group of friends who are passionate about the law, and work together to put on a good show.

Next week, we will have our FIRST GIM on August 20th at 7:30. And if you’re still getting settled in, no need to fret, because we’ll have a SECOND GIM on August 24th also at 7:30.

If you can’t make those, then you should come visit us at UFEST on August 22nd… or if you can go to the GIM you should visit us at UFEST anyway so we don’t get lonely.

Lastly, use the QR code on the last slide to sign up for our tryout process. Keep in mind, zero experience is necessary and all majors are welcome—we have had a wide array of majors join our program. JOIN NOW!

This past weekend, Binghamton Mock Trial had the pleasure to compete at AMTA’s 5th Annual Rookie Rumble tournament. For the past three weeks, this group worked tirelessly ahead of competition, and it certainly paid off—receiving 12th place and winning this year’s SPAMTA award (we so nice 😊).

We’re hungry for more now… just a few weeks till the start of the season and we’re out for blood (just to win, not actual blood)

Thank you Cornell College Mock Trial , UC Berkeley — Cal Mock Trial , Princeton Mock Trial , and Baylor Undergraduate Mock Trial for some amazing rounds this past weekend. They were all some insanely tough rounds.

Congratulations to our four competitors who won fourth place in the preliminary round of the Devil’s Advocate competition hosted by Mercer University School of Law, this past weekend!

As a result, these guys will be flying out to Georgia to compete in the in-person championship, hosted by Mercer Law in August! We are so incredibly proud of these guys. To perform at such a high level before the season has even begun, gets us so excited for the upcoming AMTA season as well.

We’d like to thank Mock Trial at Georgia State University , Furman Mock Trial , UC Berkeley — Cal Mock Trial , and University of Tennessee Mock Trial for some amazing rounds. And, of course, we’d like to thank the Mercer School of Law for hosting an incredible tournament.

Lastly, a huge shoutout to jadyn🔥 for her TWO runner-up awards for her opening AND direct! And, of course, a huge congratulations to Michael Gabriel for his (one and only) double witness award—insane work!

Good luck in Georgia Sarah, Michael, Jadyn, and Aurora—we’ll be cheering you guys on.

Last but CERTAINLY not least in our senior spotlight… it’s the one… the only… !!

Aidan Moody is truly the backbone of our team, always coming to practice with a smile and making everyone laugh. We’ll miss the light you bring to this team next year for sure!!

It’s rare that you find someone have as much mock knowledge as Emily, and even rarer when you find someone who knows exactly how to use what she knows. Emily we’ll truly miss you on the team next year but we can’t wait to see all the great things you’ll do in law school!

A powerhouse in the courtroom, and watch out when he’s on a pickleball court! No, seriously, he might tear his labrum again. But for real, we’ll really miss his guidance and incredible mock trial talent like no other next year
