A huge thank you to Drace Construction for hosting our Women In Construction students for an incredible, behind-the-scenes tour of the Sunplex Industrial Park project!
We know how incredibly busy a job site of this magnitude is, and we are so grateful to General Contractor Tom Migues and Director of Pre-construction Services Laurie Baughman for taking the time to show our students the ropes. 🛠️✨
Our students absolutely loved getting a firsthand look at the ins and outs of a major commercial project. From pre-construction planning to active site management, they walked away with invaluable insights, a deeper understanding of the industry, and a lot of inspiration for their own future careers!
Thank you, Drace Construction, for investing your time in the next generation of women in the trades! 👷‍♀️💼

THIS IS WHY WE DO IT! 🛠️🎉
Huge congratulations to Angela Greene from Women in Construction Class #117! She just shared some incredible news with us:
"Hi Iris! It's Angela Greene from class #117. Just sharing the good news. I landed my first job in construction today. 🤗🤗 I'll be a Pre-construction Manager for NE Tiny Homes help with the process to build ADUs in RI & MA. 🙌🏾🎉"
Angela showed so much discipline during her time in class, and that unstoppable, never-quit attitude is exactly what got her here. Watching your growth from the classroom to landing a management role is exactly why the Women in Construction program exists.
