📚Learning Leadership through the Toy Box Leadership Book 📚

Our year 1 students dove into the Toy Box Leadership Book and put their leadership skills into action! Students read, created a project board, and a hands on game to help us better understand what it means to be a great leader.
Leadership is an important skill that goes beyond the classroom. Learning how to communicate, work with others, make decisions, take responsibility, and encourage those around us helps students prepare for success in school, the workplace, and life! 💪
I love seeing our students engaged with these lessons and discovering that leadership isn’t just about having a title, it’s about how you positively influence and support others. 🌟

🎯Career Exploration in Year 2🎯

Our year 2 students had a fun and engaging day yestersag exploring the world of careers! students participated in a career matching game to discover careers that connected with their interest and skills. They then took part in a career speed dating activity, where they asked and answered questions about different careers and learned more about what each career has to offer.
It was a great way for students to build communication skills, explore their options, and start thinking about their futures. 🚀

🎓💼 Year 2 Students: Planning Their Path to the Future! 💼🎓

Today our Year 2 students took part in a fun and interactive “Plan Your Path: Education & Training” Bingo activity as they explored career readiness and future employment opportunities.

Students moved around the classroom, interacting with their classmates and learning more about each other’s goals, experiences, and plans for the future. Their bingo cards included questions such as:

🔹 Who wants to be an entrepreneur?
🔹 Who has created a LinkedIn profile?
🔹 Who wants to take a gap year?
🔹 Who knows about FAFSA?
🔹 Who already has a career goal?
🔹 Who has work experience?
🔹 And many more!

The activity encouraged students to communicate, network, ask questions, share ideas and think about their own pathways!

It was a great opportunity for students to recognise that everyone’s journey can look different and that there are many routes to education, training, employment, and future careers. 🚀

🦖 Teamwork Challenge in Year 1! 🦖
Our Year 1 students took on a fun teamwork challenge while putting their dinosaurs together! 🧩🦕

The dinosaur pieces were mixed up and spread across all the tables, so the first challenge was figuring out where the pieces they needed were. Once they found the matching pieces, they had to communicate, collaborate, share, and work together to collect the pieces that matched the dinosaur with the most pieces at their table.

I loved watching my students problem-solve, helping one another, listening to their teammates, and learning that sometimes working together is the best way to achieve a goal! 💚👏

What a great hands on lesson in teamwork, communication, and collaboration! 🌟

Our 1st yr. Students had a blast bringing creativity to life while watching “On Brand” with Jimmy Fallon! 🎬💡

Each week, students stepped into the role of innovators, brainstorming, creating, and pitching their ideas through fun, hands on activities. From bold branding concepts to outside the box thinking, the competition was fierce!

At the end, one student from each class rose to the top with the most weekly wins and earned the title of Innovator of the Year!! 🏆

Super proud of the creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit shown by all my students!!🌟
