Developed by Texas Sea Grant in partnership with NOAA, GOAA, SmartHome America, the Texas General Land Office Coastal
Resources Division, and the Texas Water Development Board, this comprehensive guide helps coastal Texas residents navigate insurance basics, evacuation planning, and property protection before major storms hit.

Stay tuned as we hope to provide the updated version on the Coastal Homeowner's Handbook App in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.

🌪️ It's time for a visit – If severe weather is headed your way, and if you live in a mobile home or high-floor apartment, it's better to head to a safer place. Check the weather and head to your family’s home—preferably with a secure structure or basement. Not only will you stay safer, but you’ll have the chance to catch up on family stories, play games, or enjoy a cozy meal together. It’s the perfect way to weather the storm!
