Percell has been dancing jazz, tap, ballroom, and Latin dances since the age of 13. He began teaching in the early 1980s and has been a recognized and sought-after choreographer and competition adjudicator since the early 1990s. In the US, he is widely kno
wn for; his work with the Fred Astaire organization and studios in New York and Arizona, his own Academie de Danse mini-franchise in Alaska, Hawai`i, and Mississippi, pioneering Latin dance (especially Salsa and Tango) in many communities, and for his career as an actor/singer/dancer on/off Broadway and in television including his own staged musical production, “The Soul of Argentina: A Tribute to Tango”. Percell is the CREATOR, DIRECTOR, AND PUBLISHED AUTHOR of “DANCEKINESIS: THE MISSING DIMENSION IN BALLROOM & LATIN DANCE”, an acclaimed body movement and dance training program, and amateur / professional certification course, currently being used worldwide. As a pioneer in the introduction and growth of Argentine Tango in the US since the mid-1980s, Percell is recognized as an adjudicator level Maestro de Tango by the Ministerio de Cultura de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires Ministry of Cultural Affairs). Off the dance floor, Percell is a degreed and certified psychologist, life coach, motivational speaker, and self-empowerment teacher. With a concentration in Spiritual Wellness, he is a published author in the genre of life studies. His keynote speeches, seminars, workshops, and voice-over work are regularly seen and heard world-wide.
