Meet Jessica Tiry!!!

She joined the honors program because she received an application in the mail and she was in honors at her high school so she wanted to continue it through college.

She has benefited by meeting so many new people, increasing her educational interests and found new ways to connect with the community.

Her favorite parts are the service aspect and connection building- especially with the faculty members.

She enjoys hiking, collecting rocks, reading, and watches horror movies.

Major: Human Services
Minor: Honors

Meet Destynee Two Moons!!!

She joined the honors program to be surrounded by other determined and hard working students reaching for Success.

She says the advisors are so supportive and welcoming to her and made her feel at home. She also appreciates how they always check in with honors students to see how they are doing.

Her favorite part of the program is the challenging classes that allows her to expand her thinking and work ethic. She enjoyed going to the meetings where they all have lunch and discuss important topics such as events going on and future occupations.

Fun facts about Destynee:
She wants to be a forensic Psychologist. She is a 2x State B Cross Contry Medalist and played Varsity Basketball. She is also a mother to her wonderful 1 year old son.

Meet Dominic Estes!!!

He joined the honors program because he wanted something that would push him as an individual but also to make connections with others.

He has gained valuable connections and resources through the honors program.

He really likes the meeting aspect where they tackle problems together and work together.

His personal interests and hobbies are playing basketball, working out, photography, and going on hikes.

Major: Biology
Minor: Chemistry and Honors

Meet Ahna Eisenbraun!!!

Major: Business Accounting

She was interested in going Honors because she is very academically driven and was excited to meet other students in the program.

She has benefited most from the interviewing process and meeting with others, creating connections.

She enjoys the fun activities and events the honors program provides.

A few fun facts about Ahna is that she is a violinist, pianist, likes to trains dogs, and was previously in 4-H.

Meet Lucas Marlatt! He is our first honors student spotlight!

Major: Environmental Studies
Minor: criminal justice

Why he joined the honors program: He was in honors society in Hogh School and wanted to continue with Honors in college.

Benefits from the program: Honors classes are rewarding and the honors program has been nice and helpful

Favorite part of the program: events on campus, connections through the university, scholarship money

Fun Facts about him: enjoys snowboarding, road trips, and go cart racing. He has lived in 6 different states, originally from New York.
