𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗪 - @ 𝟵:𝟭𝟱𝗔𝗠

𝗪𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 - We gather this Sunday (with maybe some rain or snow, depending on whose meteorological metrics you trust) to worship a God who calls us into calm and healing spaces. We continue our series on how Christ inspires us to create peace. This Sunday we take on a really ancient and strange story about Samson (the Fabio-esque long-haired dude), some foxes, a donkey jawbone, revenge, and a whole lot of “they started it.” Then we ask what happens when Jesus hands us a different script.

𝗪𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 - Jonah, Wounded Healers, and (Yes) Many Animals
We're continuing our Waging Peace series this Sunday at 9:15 am with the story of Jonah. You probably remember the big fish. You might not remember that Jonah, hurt and angry, runs the other way from the very people God sends him to, or that when his preaching finally works, he is furious about it. He sulks outside the city, waiting for fire to fall, and argues with God over a shade bush. Underneath the runaway prophet is a real question: what do we do with our hurt? We'll be talking about how hurting people can hurt people, and about God's stubborn and comforting invitation to participate in the ongoing healing of our hearts and those around us. It's a weird story. Filled with fish. Sackcloths. And the entire story ends with "and also many animals." Period. Come find out why and together let's worship a God of hope and healing.
