The Greenhouse for KIDS

Last spring, we found a deceased frog once the snow cleared. Then, a couple weeks ago, we heard a frog near our vegetable garden, but couldn’t find it. Well guess what? We found it in the child care window well!
Can you spot it? 🐸

This morning is all little men. Brought out the construction toys and finally everything is getting fixed! 😁🚧🔨🪛🪚

Today we learned about surface tension. If they put their hand in water first, the bubbles lasted longer! (I have an industrial bubble machine.)

(Surface tension is the force that causes liquid molecules to stick together at the surface, creating a sort of "skin" on the liquid. This force is stronger in water due to the strong hydrogen bonds between water molecules. )

Check out how their interest progressed. First a single bubble, then many of varying sizes. They loved doing this!

You know they’re getting good when it’s a ‘cats’ game!

Our caterpillars (painted lady) are almost done forming their chrysalises. The children are so excited, this is probably one of the most curious moments of the year! 🐛 🦋
