I’m selling one of our Hitting 2.0 units. It has only been used 5 times and is in excellent condition - basically brand new. After expanding our setup, I realized we only need one unit, so I’m letting this one go.

This is a high-level training tool that helps athletes develop:
✔️ Efficient swing path
✔️ Barrel accuracy
✔️ Consistent contact
✔️ Strong, repeatable mechanics

Perfect for a serious athlete, private instructor, or facility looking to elevate their hitting development.

📣 When Does Softball Recruiting Really Start?

One of the biggest questions families have is “When should my daughter start the recruiting process?”

👉 The truth: Recruiting starts earlier than most people think.
• Division I coaches can start contacting players Sept. 1 of their junior year in high school.
• BUT most athletes who get recruited have already been on coaches’ radar for years through showcases, camps, and highlight videos.
• By the time official contact is allowed, coaches often already know who they’re targeting.

⚡ What this means for Montana players:
If you wait until junior year to get serious, you’re already behind and odds are you are too late. Building exposure, verified stats, and a strong recruiting profile in 8th-10th grade is key to standing out.

💡 The earlier you start showing up, the better your chances to be noticed!

🎥 First impressions matter: 9 out of 10 coaches watch your video before ever seeing you in person.

That’s why mechanics matter - every swing, throw, and pitch on camera needs to be sharp.

💪 Lessons = consistency, so your highlight reel shows your very best.

👉 Takeaway: Don’t wait until game day to impress coaches, prepare in practice.

📚 Fact: NCAA requires a 2.3 GPA minimum in core courses for eligibility.

But here’s the kicker: Most scholarship programs look for 3.5+ GPAs because academics = more scholarship money available.

💡Lessons help build discipline, which carries into schoolwork too.

👉 Takeaway: Good grades + strong skills = more opportunities. Don’t neglect either.

👀College coaches notice the details 👀

💥Pop time under 2.0 seconds is a must for catchers.
💥Pitchers who consistently hit 60+ mph stand out at the next level.
💥Exit velo matters too - 70+ mph hitters get on recruiting radars faster.

Private lessons give you measurable progress in these areas. 🎯

👉 Takeaway: Track your numbers and improve them weekly in lessons.

🌟 Dreaming of playing college softball? 🌟

Here’s the truth: Only about 5% of high school softball players move on to play in college, and less than 2% reach NCAA Division I.

The difference-makers?
➡️ Work ethic, consistency, and skill development.
💪 Private lessons help you separate yourself from the 95%.

👉 Takeaway: Start preparing NOW, your window of opportunity is smaller than you think.

Let’s start talking about recruiting. But first we need to understand where Montana sits in the recruiting game.

🥎 Why is Montana behind in softball recruiting?

It’s not about talent, Montana athletes are tough and capable of competing anywhere.

The challenges come from:
• Small population → fewer athletes in the spotlight
• Short seasons → limited outdoor reps
• No big showcases in-state → players must travel
• Few local college programs recruiting here

👉 Montana players HAVE to be extra proactive: travel, get seen at showcases, send videos, and reach out to coaches.

💪 And when they do, they stand out for their grit, work ethic, and determination.

Why Exit Velocity Matters in Recruiting 👇

Batting averages don’t always tell the full story. That’s why more and more college coaches are asking about exit velocity.

Here’s why it’s such a vital metric ⬇️

🥎 Predicts success vs. better pitching: If you can hit the ball hard, your skills are more likely to transfer against elite college-level arms.
🥎 Objective & comparable: Unlike batting average, exit velo is the same test everywhere, making it easier for coaches to compare players.
🥎 Power potential: The harder the ball comes off the bat, the more likely it is to turn into doubles, triples, and home runs.
🥎 Measures bat speed & strength: It’s a snapshot of your athleticism and swing efficiency.
🥎 Easily measured: With tools like HitTrax, Rapsodo, and radar guns, it’s now a standard stat in recruiting profiles.

👉 Bottom line: Exit velocity is one of the clearest indicators of whether your bat will play at the college level.

Do you know what your exit velo is?!
