Dear Dutile Families,

It’s hard to believe that the first day of school is almost here!

For the past two years, I’ve shared a special “Night Before the First Day of School” bedtime story, and I wanted to keep that tradition going again this year.

We are so excited to welcome our Grades 1–4 students back to Dutile tomorrow morning! Our classrooms and learning spaces are ready, our staff is excited, and we can’t wait to see all of those smiling faces walking through the doors.

Popsicles & New Friends!

What a great day last Thursday, August 27th! Our grade-level Popsicle Parties gave students a chance to meet up, reconnect with friends, and get to know some of their new classmates before the school year begins.

There were plenty of smiles, popsicles, and excitement for the year ahead! We can’t wait to see everyone back at Dutile!

It’s going to be an aaawesome year!

Good afternoon, Dutile Caregivers.

In order for our classroom teachers to be prepared to start the year with your student(s), and for the bus company to have the most accurate information to plan this year's routes, we are asking families to complete this short student transportation survey.

Surveys are unique to each student. If you have more than one student attending in September, please complete a separate survey for each child!

ALSO...we may host events during the year in which we will offer a t-shirt for each student. The last question on this survey is your chance to provide us with an approximate t-shirt size for your child.

We would appreciate your response by Sunday, August 30th so that we have this information for the first days of school. Thank you in advance!

Dear Dutile Families,

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer!

Attached to this email are our grade-level general school supply lists for the upcoming school year. In past years, these lists were sent home with students following our Move-Up Day event on the last day of school. Since we did not hold that event this year, I wanted to make sure families who are excited to get a head start on back-to-school shopping had access to the lists.

Please note that these are the general supply lists for each grade level. Individual classroom teachers may request a few additional classroom-specific items once the school year begins, but these lists include the supplies that all students in each grade level are encouraged to have.

These supply lists will also be included in the mailing you receive later this summer with your child's classroom placement for the upcoming school year.

Thank you for your continued support. We hope you enjoy the rest of your summer, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Dutile School soon!

A great post about our students who participated in the Girls on the Run program this past school year! So proud!

On the last day of school, our entire Dutile community lined the hallways to celebrate our Grade 4 students with one final farewell walkthrough and clap-out as they prepare to move on to middle school.

While we will certainly miss seeing their smiling faces in our hallways each day, we know they are destined for great things in the years ahead. We are so proud of all they have accomplished during their time at Dutile and can't wait to see all they achieve in this next chapter.

Congratulations, Grade 4! We wish you all the best as you begin your middle school journey!
