Dear Dutile Families,
What an incredible Field Day we had today! I am sure many of our students came home with smiles on their painted faces and, most likely, very tired from all the fun and excitement they experienced throughout the day.
Our day began with a wonderful opening ceremony. Members of our Sign Language Club helped lead the Pledge of Allegiance through sign language, our Cheerleading Club got everyone energized with some spirited cheers, and Mrs. McGarr led the entire school in a schoolwide rendition of the Dutile School song. It was a fantastic way to kick off a truly special day.
From there, students enjoyed a full day of games, activities, laughter, and opportunities to make lasting memories with their classmates and teachers. The excitement and joy were evident everywhere you looked.
A tremendous thank you goes to Ms. Oestreicher, Mrs. Fonseca, and the amazing Dutile PTO for the countless hours they spent organizing, planning, and preparing for this event. Their hard work made today possible.
I would also like to thank our teachers, staff, and caregiver volunteers who helped ensure that every student had a safe, fun, and memorable experience. Your support, enthusiasm, and willingness to help made all the difference.
One of my favorite things about Field Day is seeing our entire school community come together to celebrate, connect, and enjoy a special day with one another. Today was a wonderful reminder of what makes the Dutile such a special place.
The Dutile is certainly Aaaawesome!
Have a wonderful evening.

Good Evening, Dutile Families.
Tomorrow (Thursday, 6/4/26) is Tie-Dye Day at Dutile! This is a Dutile tradition that we are excited to continue. Each student will create a tie-dye shirt that they will wear during a Spirit Week during the last full week of school.
With temperatures expected to reach the mid-80s and plenty of sunshine, please have students wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. Tie-dying can be a messy activity, so we encourage students to wear clothing that can get a little colorful!
Students will bring their freshly dyed shirts home at the end of the day along with care instructions to help preserve their designs.
We are looking forward to a fun day of creativity, color, and sunshine!
Thank you,
Scott Middlemiss

A Special Day at Dutile School !
Today was one of those truly memorable days that reminds us what education is all about.
This morning, we welcomed our newest future students and their families during Kindergarten Screening and Signing Day as they took their very first steps toward beginning their elementary school journey at Dutile. At the same time, we welcomed back many of our graduating seniors for our annual Senior Breakfast and Clap Out, celebrating the completion of their K–12 journey.
There is something incredibly powerful about seeing both the beginning and the end of the educational journey represented in the same building on the same day. From the excitement and anticipation of our incoming kindergarteners to the pride, accomplishments, and memories shared by our seniors, today showcased the full arc of a student’s school experience.
We are grateful to all of the students, families, and staff who helped make today so special.
Congratulations to our Class of 2026, and welcome to our future Dutile students—we can’t wait to watch you grow!
Please enjoy and share some of the highlights from today’s Kindergarten Signing Day, Senior Breakfast, and Senior Clap Out
