💚 🖤 Warrior Way Assembly Highlights! 🖤 💚

Another great all-school assembly at Swan River School! Our Warriors came together for some fun, friendly competition, and recognition of students demonstrating our Warrior Way values!

One of the highlights was watching students help "teach" our staff what respectful interactions look like! Mrs. Pedersen led some entertaining (and slightly disruptive 😂) role-playing scenarios that helped reinforce the importance of showing respect in our everyday interactions.

We also had some great competitions!

🏐💚 What a Season for our Lady Warriors! 🖤🏐

Our Swan River School volleyball team wrapped up an outstanding season, finishing 5-2 in the regular season and advancing all the way to the semifinals of the end-of-season tournament!

Beyond the wins, it was incredible to see how much these girls improved throughout the season. Their growth, teamwork, determination, and effort on the court were something to be proud of!

A huge thank you to our coaches for their time and dedication, and to all the families and fans who supported our girls along the way!

Great season Warriors! We are proud of you!

🚒🔥 That's a wrap on Fire Prevention Week at Swan River School! 🔥🚒

It's been a great week of learning about fire safety at SRS!

On Thursday, our students and staff successfully completed a schoolwide fire drill, putting our emergency procedures into practice. We also had some special visitors from the Bigfork and Ferndale Fire Departments! Our K–5 students had the opportunity to get an up-close look at the fire trucks, meet our local firefighters, and learn more about fire safety.

Throughout the week, students learned about this year's Fire Prevention Week theme: "Charge Into Fire Safety™: Safe Charging Is a Superpower!" ⚡🔋 We focused on the importance of safely charging electronic devices and how simple habits can help prevent fires.

A HUGE thank you to the Bigfork and Ferndale Fire Departments for taking time out of their busy schedules to visit our school and help educate our students. We are incredibly grateful for the work you do to keep our community safe!

💙 A BIG THANK YOU to Flathead Electric Cooperative, Inc. 💙

We are incredibly grateful for the support of Flathead Electric Cooperative and their Round Up for Safety grant!

As a school, student safety is always one of our top priorities. With the support of this grant, we were able to make an important update to our classroom window blinds. With Swan River Road running alongside our school and the fast-moving traffic our community is familiar with, having reliable blinds is an important added layer of safety and security for our students and staff.

Our new blinds also allow us to limit distractions and block out activity happening outside the classroom when needed, helping our students stay focused on learning.

Thank you, Flathead Electric Cooperative, for investing in the safety of our students and our school community. We are beyond grateful! 💚 🏫 🖤

🔥 Outdoor Ed Class Cook-Off at SRS! 🔥

Last Thursday was one of our favorite bi-annual traditions at Swan River School — the Outdoor Ed Class Cook-Off!

Students worked in teams and were responsible for creating a complete meal over an open fire for our panel of judges: Mr. Lee, Mrs. Pedersen, and Mrs. Ham. Teams were judged on overall meal preparation, theme, fire-making skills, teamwork, and presentation.

And this year brought a first... 😂

Did you know that liver is soaked in milk before cooking? Neither did we.

One brave team decided to put liver on the menu. Let's just say it may not have scored quite as high with the judges as they were hoping! 😬 We definitely give them points for creativity and courage!

Thankfully, there was PLENTY of other excellent food to go around! It was a beautiful day to be outside, work together, build some fires, cook some great food, and enjoy one of those traditions that makes SRS such a special place.

Thank You, Swan River Community!

The Building Reserve Levy has passed.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to learn about the levy, ask questions, participate in the process, and cast a ballot.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of Swan River School and our students. These funds will allow the district to address important facility needs and continue investing in a safe, reliable school building for our students, staff, and community.

We take the responsibility of using these funds seriously and will continue to keep our community informed as projects move forward.
