That's a wrap on 2026 BYC Summer Camp!!! We ended with a bang...or a bunch of bubbles, rather! 🫧♥️🫧

Looking back over the last 8 weeks we are so proud of all of the incredible experiences we were able to offer the kids! We cared for 130 children this summer, and we do believe we helped enrich their lives in some way thanks to our truly AMAZING staff!!

Thanks to all of you wonderful families for trusting us with your beautiful children! We had a BLAST!💥

We quite literally can't do it without you, and your gift goes so much further with the Whitefish Community Foundation offering a percentage match during this month! There are SO Many wonderful nonprofits participating!!!

The Nurturing Center provided over $12,000(!!!) in scholarships for our summer camp kids this year! Montana Kayak Academy (MKA) | Whitewater Lessons offered the most amazing whitewater kayaking week! Bigfork Art & Cultural Center generously welcomed our kiddos for Art Week Bigfork Food Bank donated funds to us which helped us serve over 5,000 FREE HOT MEALS to children!
Flathead 4-H Foundation shared the beautiful Loon Lake with us over a dozen times this summer.

The 89 fantastic nonprofits in the GreatFish Challenge truly exemplify COMMUNITY and what it means to work together, and Whitefish Community Foundation makes this all possible.

We ♥️ the Bigfork Food Bank!

Last night we were at the Great Fish Community Challenge Launch Party. Our volunteers were super busy putting temporary fruit and veggie tattoos on kids of all ages and supporting our other 88 other non profits partners. Thank you Whitefish Community Foundation and Glacier Range Riders stadium for hosting such a great event.

Please consider supporting us until September 11 by donating via website, check, IRA, DAFs and many other ways!

It was wonderful to get to meet so many wonderful nonprofits who are truly making such a difference in the lives of the people of the Flathead!

🌲 MORE FORTS, LESS FORTNITE 🌲

This week, our Middle School crew had an incredible opportunity to spend time at Bud Gaiser’s Amazing Outdoor Adventure Camp!

Many in our community know Bud from his 20+ years teaching outdoor education at Swan River School. He welcomed our kids into his amazing space and gave them the chance to build shelters, learn navigation and orienteering, kayak, bike, hike, and explore the outdoors.

These are the kinds of experiences we want our kids to remember...getting outside, trying new things, building confidence, and having real adventures together.

A huge thank you to Bud for sharing his time, knowledge, and his incredible space with our kids. We are so grateful and can’t wait to partner again! 💚

Did you know Bigfork Youth Center supports youth from kindergarten all the way through high school, and beyond? 💙

Every year, we provide 8,000+ hours of employment to local teens, giving them more than just a paycheck. They gain leadership experience, job skills, certifications, mentoring, and hands-on training that prepare them for success in the workforce, and in life.

Staff like Ruby inspire the next generation, modeling kindness, fairness and respect.
