Picnic in the Park (PIP)- That's a Wrap!

Oh what a summer!
Oh, what a ride!
So many PIP days
with sunshine outside!

Lunches were served
and fun filled the air,
With plenty of helping hands
here, there, and everywhere.

Grown-ups pitched in
and kids did too,
While generous donations
helped make PIP come true!

And our PIP kids?
They deserve a hooray!
They helped keep our park clean
along the way.

They lent their hands
and did what they could,
Helping keep our park
looking tidy and good!

So THANK YOU to everyone
who played their part-
You helped make PIP
a whole lot of fun from the start!

The last lunch is finished
but summer is still young,
There's still plenty of sunshine
and plenty of fun!

PIP is taking a nap
till next summer rolls near,
but before we say goodbye-
THANK YOU, PIP friends, for another amazing year!

Oh, the fun! Oh, the cheer!
The last day of Picnic in the Park is almost here!
We'll blow bubbly bubbles that float to the sky,
We'll chalk up the sidewalks with swirls way up high!
We'll enjoy our lunch and then what comes next?
ICE CREAM! (need we say the rest?)
We'll make happy memories, laugh, play and grin,
What a wonderful summer this has been!
So gather your smiles and come on through,
We've got one more picnic waiting for you!
Friday August 14th is the day,
Don't let this sweet celebration get away!
We'll wave goodbye to summer with one great big cheer,
And tuck away memories we'll treasure all year!

Do you love working with kids and creating a welcoming, fun end to their school day? We’re looking for a caring, energetic team member to join the Big Timber After School Club. This is a perfect job for someone who enjoys working with our youth and looking to make a little extra money, fill a few hours in the afternoon, or work after school!

What you’ll do:

😀Greet students as they arrive and help them transition from school to after‑school time

🍎Serve snacks and build connections with our awesome kids!

💻🎨🎲Create and participate in engaging activities, such as: STEM, art, cooking and nutrition, community speakers, games, outdoor activities, career development, and coding/3D printing!

📝📔Support students with homework and classroom goals.....and watch them succeed and grow!

To give our staff a break and a long weekend to celebrate the 4th of July holiday, there will be no lunches served at Picnic In The Park on Friday, July 3rd! If your child is in need of a lunch for Friday, have them let our coordinator know and she will send an extra! We will resume on Monday!

Its another week of lunches, contingent upon weather conditions! Kids can then head to today's movie matinee at Sweet Grass Arts Theater, featuring the SpongeBob movie. This event is free of charge with concessions offered at an additional cost. Thank you Sweet Grass Arts Theater for providing such a great activity for our kids to enjoy throughout the summer!!
