My biggest childhood dream was to become an entrepreneur. Almost four years ago now, that dream became a full reality in this space. Over the course of these last 3 and a half years, I have taught a little over 100 students, sold consignment instruments, countless string and minor repairs, sold instruments, and provided much needed opportunities and education to our little area. I have had students travel from near Ewing, VA, to Pikeville, KY. I hosted three children’s music camps, a total of 15 student recitals + performances, and had retail clients as well.

Last year I converted this space into a private music lesson space instead of full retail so i could focus solely on teaching and repairs. After a lot of consideration and prayer, I am sad to announce the closing of my storefront lesson space. Life happens, and I have to put myself and my family first above a business. This is by far the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make, but I have know this is for the best.

HOWEVER - there is good news!! 🫶🏻

I will still be teaching lessons privately in Big Stone Gap. I will be making a winter/spring schedule with availability here soon and I will give you information where lessons will be held.

I want to thank you all for all of your continued support and encouragement these last 3 and a half years. Running a small business in this economy in a small town by yourself is a lot, but you all have made it well worth it!! 💖

Please join us for the end of the semester student recital GoodTimes Coal-Fired Pizza & Pub @ 5:30pm, Friday, December 19th. Students will be showcasing a solo song and a couple of group songs they’ve been working on this semester.

They work so hard, please come out and support them!

This was our biggest group of performers yet. I am so proud of each and every one of these kiddos who put in the work on and off the stage to make their performance what it was yesterday.

Thank you to all the parents, grandparents, and the town of BSG for making this possible! 🩵
