The Big Spring ISD Facebook Fan Page is provided for the district community by the Big Spring ISD Community Relations Department. We will update this page as often as possible to share as much as we can about the Big Spring ISD and the achievements of the students and staff as well as other relevant district community information. All posting of comments on this page

are at the discretion of the page administrators. The intent of this policy is not to keep any negative or critical information from being posted, but to protect the privacy and rights of the Big Spring ISD staff and students, naming specific employees or students in a negative way will not be allowed (and is just generally rude). The page administrators will review all postings to make sure they do not run afoul of the rules nor of the district’s Acceptable Use Guidelines regarding Internet access and practices. We welcome your thoughts and comments and look forward to what you have to say; however, we will not leave postings that:

• Break the law or encourage others to do so.

• Contain abusive or inappropriate language or statements. This includes remarks that are racist, homophobic and sexist as well as those that contain obscenities or are sexually explicit.

• Easily identify students and/or staff in defamatory, abusive, or generally negative terms.

• Do not show proper consideration for others’ privacy or are considered likely to offend or provoke others - i.e. don’t pick fights or goad others into inflammatory debates. repeatedly posting the same comment or comments that are simply advertising/promoting a service or product. If you wouldn’t want to receive it yourself, don’t post it. SHOUT-OUT to all the parents and community members that have kids in our amazing school district. As all of you know this year we initiated online registration for the first time in our district. As with any new addition, we knew there would be minor issues, confusion, and at times frustration with the new system. Even with the small issues, as a group our parents have been amazing!! Parents and guardians have been understanding, easy to work with, and all seem to realize that this ultimately is something that will make our district better and make registration an easier process for everyone. Just know that we will continue to try and make our district stronger in every aspect, and we want to do whatever is necessary to make the educational experience at Big Spring ISD amazing for you and more importantly your kids! GREAT NEWS today in Big Spring ISD! TEA released the accountability ratings for the 2026 STAAR/EOC assessments given this past school year. The A-F grading system was put into place in 2017, and for the first time in our school district's history we received a "B" (82) rating! We have made significant strides the past 5-6 years and in fact were a 79 last rating cycle. Our district also for the first time since the A-F ratings went into place have 3 "B" rated campuses in our district and only 1 "C" (78) campus, and that score was up from last year and just 2 points shy of a "B".

I am so proud of our entire TEAM for the work they have put in, and the believe they have in our vision, our goals, and our firm belief that our district can do great things! Our kids are truly amazing, and the effort they put forth is second to none. Big Spring ISD is on the rise, and will continue to do great things in the future. We will never be satisfied, and will continue to push for excellence in every thing we do in our district. I am blessed to be a part of this amazing district and look forward to even greater things in the future! Go Steers!🤘
