SCAM ALERT:

We have been made aware that a scam on the Big Spring High School Band (Pride Drive) page has been circulating on some of the comments from previous posts. The account holder of that scam account has been blocked and removed from the page.

Please note that our band program will never ask for money in the form of a page comment or link coming from a person. It will always come from an official source from our page, thereof.

Thank you for your attention to this matter and please remember to always be vigilant with online scams, etc.

As always, please always report any suspicious activity.

Let’s give it up for our All-State Steer Band Members!

Keila Reyes (1st in the State - Trombone, 2nd All-State Placement, Junior)
Zachary Robles (10th in the State - Trumpet, 1st All-State Placement, Junior)
Marina Salinas (15th in the State - Clarinet, 1st All-State Placement, Junior)
Genesis Olivares (33rd in the State - Clarinet, 1st All-State Placement, Junior)

These students accompanied their band directors on a trip to San Antonio, where they joined the rest of the best-of-the-best of the entire State of Texas in auditioning for their chair placements at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention. They got the honor of working with a fantastic clinician, and performed a fabulous concert that helped bring the entire event to a close.

We are so proud of them, and hope that you will show them your support for their great achievements and service to music and their band program!

The mighty Steer Band would like to wish everybody a very Merry Christmas this holiday season!

Thank you for including us in so many events and supporting us at so many events throughout town and across West Texas the last several weeks!  We have had a great semester and look forward to new memories and more music in 2026!
