We appreciate the interest shown by so many families this season. After reviewing all applications and meeting with several families, we have officially reached capacity for our co‑op and will be closing applications for the year.

Should new classes be added or openings arise, we will contact families who were not selected to determine continued interest. We sincerely wish everyone a joyful and successful school year.

The Library is having its annual Summer Book Sale!

📚 Summer Book Sale — August 5th! 📚

The Friends of the Library are excited to host a Summer Book Sale on August 5th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. While the library undergoes renovations, our friends at Star Ford of Big Spring have stepped in once again to help us keep our programs and book sales going strong.

This year’s sale will be held at:
📍 500 W. 4th Street

Come browse shelves filled with fiction, nonfiction, children’s books, cookbooks, and all kinds of treasures waiting for a new home. Every purchase supports community programming and helps us continue serving Howard County during the renovation period.

We are incredibly grateful for Star Ford’s continued help and support. Their commitment to literacy and community shines through every time they step forward to lend a hand.

Join us on Saturday, July 25, from 12:00–3:00 PM at Naz Family Church (1400 S. Lancaster St., Big Spring, TX) for a fun opportunity to share resources with other homeschooling families!
Bring your gently used curriculum, books, games, and school supplies before the event begins, then browse and take home items your family can use. It's a great way to save money, reduce waste, and connect with other homeschool families in our community.

We can't wait to see you there! 💚📖✏️

📣 Homeschool Group Update for the 2026–2027 Year

This is normally the time of year when we open our group to new members, but things look a little different right now with the ongoing library renovations. We are accepting applications for the upcoming school year, but our co‑op class schedule won’t be finalized until closer to late August or early September.

We’re still excited to kick off a new year filled with both academic and enrichment opportunities for our families. All prospective members will need to complete an application and attend at least one public gathering, such as our park play days, so we can get to know you and answer any questions.

If you’d like more information or want to begin the application process, feel free to send us a DM. We’re looking forward to another great year of learning and community together.

Registration is April 8th, 15th, and 17th.
Actual event date Friday May 8th!

We've done this for several years but this is the first time we've opened it up! Looking forward to meeting new faces and having an absolute blast!!

Registration fee: $40/family includes lunch and event
Get a $5 rebate by bringing a case of water or other needed item off our list!
