Founded in 2010, BSAFE has taught hundreds of students useful avalanche skills in Big Sky, Montana. The Foundation is led by Avalanche Professional Tom Thorn, with over 25 years of experience as a Heli-Guide, Ski Patroller, Avalanche Forecaster, and Certified Instructor for the American Avalanche Association. BSAFE's courses follow the AAA curriculum, the standard for avalanche education in the United States.
