TODAY'S VERSE
"Jesus replied, "Your mistake is that you don't know the Scriptures, and you don't know the power of God." Matthew 22:29

TODAY'S THOUGHT
Oops! How many times has that happened? We may live under a certain assumption, do all kinds of things, only to find out that we have it all wrong! Assumptions do that. They lead us down the wrong road. A road full of wild emotions of fear, insecurity, offense, resentment and deep regret. Not just assumptions, unbiblical beliefs will also take us on the wrong path. So it was with those who were trying to debate Jesus and trick Him into contradicting their traditions. Two things Jesus pointed out, both mistakes. One, they did not know the scriptures. They thought they did. They knew the words but not the motive of the heart of God. They knew the letter but not the spirit. God's motive has always been to bring life, love and grace to mankind and freedom from sin. If you do not know that, you do not know the scriptures. Secondly, they did not know the power of God. They knew the stories in scriptures but not the reality. They knew about God but not the power of God. They believed in death, but not God's power to give eternal life. Don't make the same mistake. Today choose to knowthe heart and Word of God and believe it. Get to know the reality behind every page of the scriptures. Get to know God and all the power He has for your life. His heart is revealed in His Word.

TODAY'S PRAYER
Father, help me get to know You. Help the scriptures come alive in my life. Help me live in the power of Your resurrection. In Jesus' name. AMEN

TODAY’S VERSE
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

TODAY’S THOUGHT
What a glorious hope we have in Christ. Paul prays for the church in Rome, and we can claim this same prayer for ourselves. We can pray that God will fill us with joy and peace through the hope we have in God's perfect plan. Not just “fill” us, but “completely fill” us with joy and peace. How can He do this? He can do this because He is the source of all hope! And what do we need to do? What is our part in all of this? Our part is to listen to Him and trust Him to guide us. Simply trust in His love for you, and He promises that you will overflow with a confident hope, powered by the Holy Spirit to do His will here and now. To let Him cause us to will and act according to His great purpose. Today, put your trust in Him. Listen to Him and obey and trust Him with the end result. He really is a good Father.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, fill me with hope as I trust in You. As I choose to listen to You, Lord, turn that hope into joy and peace so I will overflow with confidence through the power of the Holy Spirit. You will do what You promised to. In Jesus Christ I pray. AMEN

Hay 8 condiciones del corazón (ser actitudes) que se llaman las Bienaventuranzas (Mateo 5:3-12) que viene de ser uno con Jesús. Hay 8 tentaciones (Mateo 5:17-47; 6:25-32; 7:1-5) para resistir por la gracia de Dios: son la anarquía (o libertinaje), ira (enojo injusto), adulterio o inmoralidad, rompiendo el Pacto, palabras vacías, venganza u odio, preocupaciones y ser juicioso o condenar.
Las 8 actividades o disciplinas que ejercitamos pero no son para ganar algo de Dios o merecer amor de Dios sino que ejercitando estos posicionan nuestros corazones ante Dios en humildad y revivir nuestros corazones al amor y la fe. Aquí están (Mateo 6:1-33) dar, orar, perdonar, ayunar, examinar nuestros valores eternos, pedir, buscar y tocar la puerta del cielo. Estas actividades o disciplinas nos ayudan a ser sensibles al corazón de Dios y escucharlo en las pruebas de nuestra fe que se menciona en el capítulo siete para evitar ser naufragado en la fe y en nuestra relación con Jesucristo el rey.
Recuerde: Se trata del rey Jesucristo que nos da estas palabras para que nos animan y establecen la Fundación del Reino de Dios o en otras palabras, la Constitución de su reino.

The Sermon on the Mount.

There are 8 Conditions of the Heart (BE Attitudes) Matthew 5:3-12 that comes from being ONE with Jesus. There are 8 Temptations (Matthew 5:17-47; 6:25-32; 7:1-5) to resist through God's grace: they are Lawlessness, Unrighteous Anger, Adultery or Immorality, Breaking Covenant, Empty Words or unfaithfulness, Vengeance or Hatred, Worry and Judging or Condemning.

The 8 Activities or Disciplines that we exercise are not to win or earn any more favor or love from God but they do position our hearts before God to revive OUR hearts to love and faith. Here they are (Matthew 6:1-33) GIVING, PRAYING, FORGIVING, FASTING, EXAMNING OUR ETERNAL VALUES, ASKING, SEEKING AND KNOCKING. These Activities or Disciplines help us to be sensitive to God's heart and listen to Him in the Testing of our Faith that takes place in chapter seven to avoid being shipwrecked in the faith and our relationship with Jesus Christ the King. REMEMBER: This is the King Jesus Christ who is giving us these words to encourage us and establish the foundation of the Kingdom of God or in other words, the CONSTITUTION of His Kingdom.
