Anyone in need of Medical, Dental, or Vision care is invited to attend the FREE clinic happening this weekend at Ferris State University in Big Rapids.

So many amazing doctors, nurses, dentists, vision specialists, and volunteers are donating their time to serve our community with compassion and care. ❤️

Honoring Memorial Day

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice has made it possible for us to learn, grow, and serve others in our communities.

As members of the College of Health Professions, we are especially reminded of the importance of compassion, service, and dedication—values that reflect the legacy of those we honor today.

We encourage everyone to take a moment of reflection and gratitude this Memorial Day. ❤️

Ferris State University’s Dental Hygiene faculty recently took learning beyond the classroom at the Michigan Oral Health Coalition Conference! 🦷💙

Nichole Ivanov and Amanda Mishler presented on “Nutrition as Prevention: Aligning Oral Health Messaging with Current Priorities,” sharing the importance of prevention, education, and outreach in improving oral health across Michigan communities.

Conferences like this allow our faculty to connect with professionals from around the state, exchange ideas, and continue finding new ways to bring oral health education and resources directly into the community. We love seeing our CHP faculty making an impact both on campus and beyond!

To top off a great experience, the group also enjoyed an evening cheering on the Lansing Lugnuts! ⚾️

We are incredibly proud to celebrate one of our Ferris State graduates whose journey to commencement included working third shift, driving an hour to campus, and raising her daughter while pursuing her education. She worked third shift, drove an hour each way and raised a daughter – and just graduated from Ferris State with honors Noel Hernandez clocked out of the Trinity Health Grand Rapids emergency department after third shift, then drove an hour to Ferris State University — repeatedly for two years while raising a young daughter.

We had an amazing turnout at our CHP Open House, and it was wonderful celebrating such an incredible group of students, families, and supporters. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the event so special!
