🌎💚 Team CHP Gives Back to the Muskegon River! 💚🌎

Today, Team CHP joined the Muskegon River Trash Bash, an annual, family-friendly cleanup organized by the Muskegon River Watershed Assembly. This event brings volunteers together to help remove trash from the Muskegon River, its tributaries, and the surrounding areas.

The FSU Sustainability Committee called on volunteers to help clean up the tributaries on campus that eventually lead to the Muskegon River—and Team CHP stepped up! 🙌

Our team tackled the swampy areas west of State Street, working together to make a difference right here on campus and in our local watershed. 💪🌿

We’re proud of the teamwork, dedication, and commitment to keeping our campus and community clean. Great job, Team CHP! 👏

Honoring Memorial Day

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice has made it possible for us to learn, grow, and serve others in our communities.

As members of the College of Health Professions, we are especially reminded of the importance of compassion, service, and dedication—values that reflect the legacy of those we honor today.

We encourage everyone to take a moment of reflection and gratitude this Memorial Day. ❤️

Ferris State University’s Dental Hygiene faculty recently took learning beyond the classroom at the Michigan Oral Health Coalition Conference! 🦷💙

Nichole Ivanov and Amanda Mishler presented on “Nutrition as Prevention: Aligning Oral Health Messaging with Current Priorities,” sharing the importance of prevention, education, and outreach in improving oral health across Michigan communities.

Conferences like this allow our faculty to connect with professionals from around the state, exchange ideas, and continue finding new ways to bring oral health education and resources directly into the community. We love seeing our CHP faculty making an impact both on campus and beyond!

To top off a great experience, the group also enjoyed an evening cheering on the Lansing Lugnuts! ⚾️
