Bulldog First Year Alumni Scholarship | Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Bulldog First Year Alumni Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

Be admitted as a first-year (freshman) undergraduate student at Ferris State University in any degree-granting program.
Enroll full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester)
Have a minimum high school GPA of 2.75
Have at least one parent or grandparent who is a Ferris State University alumnus/alumna.
The scholarship is awarded for one academic year only and is non-renewable.
Students are able to apply for this scholarship through Scholarship Universe, and the application closes on February 28th.

The Tyler Patrick Slaughter Memorial Scholarship was created to help Newaygo County adults needing financial support to get their social work degree. The scholarship honors Tyler Slaughter, who went back to school for a master’s in social work and was working at Newaygo County Mental Health when he passed away in 2015.
