Innovation starts with collaboration. ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ”ฌ

When Dr. Milan Prajapati set out to build a new research laboratory at the Ferris State College of Pharmacy, he found an innovative solution just across campus. By partnering with Ferris Stateโ€™s Makerspace, Dr. Prajapati was able to 3D print laboratory test tube racksโ€”saving valuable research funds while discovering new opportunities for teaching and innovation.

This collaboration is a perfect example of how Ferris State brings together expertise across disciplines to solve real-world challenges. Weโ€™re proud to celebrate Dr. Prajapatiโ€™s innovative approach and the collaborative spirit that makes Ferris State exceptional.

๐Ÿฆ ๐Ÿ’Š Making a difference across Michigan!

This year, Ferris State University College of Pharmacy and School of Nursing students reached more than 1,100 Kโ€“12 students through antibiotic awareness and antimicrobial stewardship education.

Through the Michigan Antibiotic Resistance Reduction (MARR) Coalition, students are gaining hands-on experience in research, public health and community outreach while helping educate the next generation about appropriate antibiotic use and infection prevention.

Led by Dr. Michael Klepser and Dr. Kaylee Caniff, this interdisciplinary initiative is preparing future healthcare professionals to improve patient care and strengthen public health one classroom at a time.
