Aspiring Educators of Michigan at FSU

Aspiring Educators of Michigan at FSU We are the Ferris State University chapter of the Aspiring Educators of the MEA. A group of aspiring educators that focuses on the values of teaching.

This pre-professional RSO is open to any students in or interested in the teaching profession. Do you ever find yourself wondering what more is there to being a teacher other then what you learn in your classes? Do you ever find yourself concerned/curious about the various issues impacting education today? Do you want to know more about what it means to be a teacher? Then Ferris Aspiring Educators of Michigan may be an option for you. Our goal is to educate students and the community about what it really means to be an educator in today's society. Students who are passionate about education and are looking for information past what they learn in class, and who want to help make a difference are encouraged to join. We are backed by national and state organizations. The NEA (National Education Association) and the MEA (Michigan Education Association). For this reason we offer a unique professional network that will help you grow as you continue your educational degree. We also offer access to professional development opportunities that will help you expand your knowledge base. These opportunities include online development, workshops and conferences. As a member of FAEM you will also be provided $1,000,000 in liability insurance to cover any student teaching incidents that may occur.
