After I lost my dad, and was waiting for the estate to settle, a local professor came into my work place, and said he was going on sabbatical. My whole body reacted to the word 'sabbatical.' I knew in that moment that was what I needed.
Going through the grief of losing my last parent, and the extended estate process, I was ready for a change. But what would I do? I had a belief that I could only do what I was trained for, but in a new place. Nothing different. I was a pharmacist, and would only be doing that same work in another retail store.
I didn't believe I could step outside of that. It's like a had a circle around me, a boundary that said I couldn't step out. You know, like the Operation game. A buzzer would go off if you touch the sides of the boundary.
Finally the estate settled and I was able to take that sabbatical. What I realized with some time and space, was that I could view healing from a 180º perspective. Instead of physical healing from medications, I wanted to study emotional healing, and how that impacts our physical bodies, so I started in a natural health program.
It wasn't easy to step out at age 50, but it was liberating. You see, the thing is that you HAVE to step out of the boundaries you have set for yourself. Freedom is just outside the line.
We'll be doing a group process to help move ourselves forward, find out how that self-imposed boundary has been affecting our lives, and grant ourselves permission to expand our lives. An oracle card reading will support our forward movement.
