๐ธ From Tadpoles to ToadsโLearning Comes to Life! ๐ฟ
Mrs. Holleyโs class has been studying tadpoles and following them through each stage of their life cycle, so you can imagine the excitement when they got the chance to get up close and personal with a toad! ๐ฅฐ
Theyโve been learning how an amphibian begins as an egg, hatches into a tadpole, develops back legs and then front legs, gradually loses its tail, and eventually becomes an adult frog or toad. Watching these changes happen and then getting to observe an adult up close helps turn something theyโve learned about in the classroom into a real-life experience. ๐ธ
Hands-on nature experiences encourage curiosity, observation skills, new vocabulary, critical thinking, and respect for living thingsโand judging by those faces, this lesson was definitely a hit! ๐โค๏ธ
We love watching our kiddos discover that learning is happening everywhere around them! ๐๐ฑ
The best kind of science lesson is one you can hold in your hands! ๐ธ๐
