Tangled Dreams - Karen Sandoval, CZT17 Hi, I'm Karen Sandoval, CZT17. I'm here to help you get started on your Zentangle journey! Before she started tangling, she couldn’t draw a line with a ruler.

Karen Sandoval’s Tangled journey began in 2013, when she was introduced to the Zentangle® Method. In November 2014, she traveled to Providence, Rhode Island to become a Certified Zentangle Teacher. She uses the art to help relieve anxiety and chronic pain. Karen resides in the suburbs of Milwaukee with her husband and two dogs. When she isn’t tangling, she’s likely in the garden with her camera.

My first Zentangle tile finished on the 18th day of complete shoulder replacement of my dominant arm. I’m already having zero regrets, mostly only impatience mixed with a little guilt for sitting in pain so long and gratitude 🙏🏻

Hi everyone! Thank you for following me and sorry I have been gone. I’m in recovery for shoulder replacement. My physical therapist recommended that I do art, resting my arm on the table and keeping my shoulder relaxed. I didn’t realize that I was actually tensing up when I should be in the Zentangle zone-relaxed shoulders! it took me 4 sessions to finish my first tile after dominant arm shoulder replacement. Started and Finished 18 days post op. I’m proud of myself. My advice is Relax your shoulders!
