🤠✨ TO INFINITY… AND A GREAT YEAR AHEAD! 🚀

Over this past weekend, the University of New England Harold Alfond Forum
welcomed back more than 20 of UNE’s finest, for our Annual Forum Student Building Manager Training - Toy Story style! 🧸⭐️

We kicked things off with CliftonStrengths, discovering the unique talents and strengths that each member brings to our team. 💪 Saturday was all about getting to know the ins, outs, tips, tricks, and everything in between at the Forum. We also spent time learning about the story and legacy of the amazing Harold Alfond. To finish on Sunday, we slowed things down with an amazing Sound Bath by - the perfect way to let a weekend full of learning, connection, and teamwork soak in. ✨

And as our HAFSBM alumni know… it wouldn’t be a Forum training weekend without LOTS of fun, games, laughs, and an EPIC scavenger hunt! 🔎🪩

Because a team that plays together, stays together - this crew is ready to work together to infinity and beyond to keep the Forum running smoothly from ☀️ up to ☀️ down all year long!

We see you Jamie DuPont - in addition to the contributions in the classrooms, the labs and on the ice, you also had a huge impact through your work as a Forum Student Building Manager - we will miss your steadfast commitment to UNE.

Congratulations to Jamie DuPont, recipient of the Westbrook College of Health Professions’ Maroon Award! 🎓

The Maroon Award — WCHP’s top honor — is given annually to one undergraduate student on the Biddeford Campus and another on the Portland Campus, and honors students who serve as role models by maintaining high academic standards, superior leadership qualities and collaborative working relationships, while demonstrating service to improve the quality of life for others.

Jamie is the second consecutive UNE student-athlete to receive the honor.

One of the largest senior classes in the Harold Alfond Forum Student Building Manager history is leaving BIG shoes 👟👠🩴👞to fill!

This group is award winning and we cannot wait to watch their journey to Med school, graduate programs and employment! ✈️🩺👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️🥼🗂️💼 👩‍🏫

Being a “HAFSBM” is more than just a job. It’s “employment with a purpose” and this year you staffed one of the busiest buildings on campus, donated $8,500 to Make-A-Wish Maine, hosted a Teddy Bear Toss and donated hundreds of stuffed animals to our friends at MaineHealth in Sanford as well as collected stockings filled with toiletries for the Seeds of Hope Neighborhood Center. To say we are proud is an understatement!

You always have a home at the Forum!

Excited to share that our Auxiliary Operations Department here at UNE is growing and we’re looking for an Auxiliary Services Manager to help lead operations at the University of New England - Danielle Ripich Commons
(DRCM), right in the heart of the beautiful Biddeford campus.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with students, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to make a real impact on the day-to-day campus experience.

A few highlights of the role:

• Leading daily operations, planning, budgeting, and long-term strategy

• Serving as the main point of contact for building occupants and partners

• Mentoring a team of 20+ Student Building Managers in Leadership roles

• Help to maintain a welcoming, student-centered environment

• Supporting everything from study spaces and student life initiatives to dining flow and community programming
