There is something meaningful about watching a community outgrow the space it once started in.

Seven learners became a school serving more than 98 students. A small beginning became something larger. And now, OLPS is looking toward what comes next.

Growth leaves traces. Sometimes, they look like fuller classrooms and bigger dreams.

The OLPS School began in 2015 with just seven learners. Today, the program serves more than 98 learners from Kindergarten through Grade 7. OLPS is working toward a more spacious school campus that can provide greater learning opportunities, as well as additional housing for students and teachers.

Growth creates new possibilities—but it also creates new needs.

Building for the future means making sure the spaces where learning happens can grow alongside the community they serve.

Food insecurity remains an important part of OLPS's work in Kenya. The organization is working to increase food security for the OLPS community, including vulnerable children and those served through the Children's Rescue Center.

But addressing hunger is not simply about meeting today's need. It is also about creating stronger systems that can support people over time.

When communities have greater access to food and the resources needed to sustain it, everyone has more room to move forward.

The challenges facing a community rarely exist on their own. Food insecurity can affect a child's ability to learn. Limited resources can affect a school's ability to grow. A lack of safe spaces can affect a family's sense of stability.

That is why OLPS works across several areas of need in the Kisumu community—from child sponsorship and education to the Children's Rescue Center and efforts to address food insecurity.
