Sarah Biehl is a Member at Large in the Bexley Schools DLPTO . Sarah’s hot button issues are education policy, special education, school discipline, and her family, and she will talk to you endlessly about any or all of these topics. Sarah has lived in Bexley since 2018 and has a super smart husband, Michael, and two spicy and strong-willed daughters who will either kill Sarah or change the world or both, Vivian (12) and Thea (11). Vivian is a rising 7th grader and is an absolutely delightful autistic kiddo who loves everyone and knows everything there is to know about Pokemon. Thea is a rising 6th grader who loves art, fashion, writing, and slinging wry and devastating one liners at her family and friends.

Sarah is a lawyer who does policy work professionally and tends to overcommit to things she cares about, so please never hesitate to check in with/remind Sarah if she is supposed to be working on something with you. In addition to her human family members, Sarah has two exuberant and cuddly dogs, an extremely fluffy cat, and an endlessly expanding number of plants which have taken over both her office and her house.

Bob Weiser is our new DLPTO Treasurer. He is a dad of two diverse learners: Ronan (12) and Bryn (10) He has lived in Bexley for 13 years after a nomadic existence in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dayton, Columbus, and Chicago. He joined the DLPTO because he believes every kid with diverse learning needs deserves real advocacy and real resources.

He spends his days working in the exciting field of corporate tax for an industrial services company and his nights recovering from the excitement of working in corporate tax for an industrial services company. When he is neither practicing nor recovering from corporate tax, he enjoys going to the movie theater with his family, listening to mystery audiobooks, and exploring Ohio.

He is the one with the beard and visible scalp.

Anna Gasbarro is Bexley Schools DLPTO Communications Chair. She’s grateful to be part of this passionate group. Anna moved to Bexley from Victorian Village, in 2015. She has (2) neurodivergent kiddos at Bexley and has an ADD diagnosis her self.

Angelo is a curious, creative, comical kiddo, also an autist with a generous side of ADHD. - he’s 12 and a rising 7th grader. Gemma (10) is heading into 5th grade next year. She is a joyful and imaginative old soul with a big a heart and some ADD and GAD as well.

When Anna’s not working on PTO stuff, she spends her time volunteering her marketing and development skills with various non-profits and startups in Columbus. She loves bringing people together for a good cause.

Meet Ashley Amigo! - Vice President of the DLPTO. Ashley works as a special education paraprofessional in Upper Arlington Schools, supporting students with multiple disabilities, and also has a background teaching theater to neurodivergent children and teens for over 15 years.

She has lived in Bexley for four years, and is mom to Theo, a kind and curious second grader at Montrose who is autistic and has ADHD. That overlap between her work and lived experience helps shape her focus on neuro-affirming, trauma-informed support for students and families. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, Chinese takeout, watching documentaries, kitchen dance parties with her son, all things creative, and walks with her rescue dog.

Elisabeth Hire is the new DLPTO President for the 2026/27 school year! Elisabeth has worked as a professional ballet dancer, Presidential campaign staffer, arts administrator, White House appointee, and consultant to progressive organizations. Ask her sometime how all this work is related - it really is! She is a graduate of Bexley’s class of 1996.

She is passionate about the Diverse Learning Parent Teacher Organization because ALL ways of learning should be embraced, supported, and celebrated by ALL. She also believes incremental change is possible in Bexley Special Education provided we continue to hold everyone accountable while maintaining civility and transparency.

Charlie, age 12, is a proud Bexley Middle Schooler who has developed grit, humility, and determination while dealing with the challenges of dyslexia, ADHD, and anxiety.

Elliott, age 9, is a proud Cassingham Cub who loves her brother, Taylor Swift, and her many, ever-changing activities.

Spouse: Chris Hayler, age 47, has lived with dyslexia and ADHD his entire life and knows firsthand what it’s like to navigate a strong public school system with learning challenges (it’s not easy). You may know him from his Golden State Warriors attire.

Hobbies: gardening, obsessing over skincare, and electing Democrats
