We’re thrilled to welcome Suzu Ledoux to Shore!

Mrs. Ledoux joins us as our new Theatre Arts Teacher, bringing more than 20 years of experience as a theatre artist and educator. Originally from Northumberland, England, Suzu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and Arts Education and a Master’s Degree in Applied Theatre.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Ledoux has taught and directed in a variety of communities, most recently teaching drama to K–4 students at a charter school in Rhode Island. She is passionate about helping students find and share their voices through diverse source materials and collaborative, cross-disciplinary work.

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Ledoux enjoys gardening, exploring new playgrounds with her family, and, ideally, reading historical fiction with a cup of coffee in bed.

We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Ledoux to Shore and look forward to seeing the creativity, collaboration, and joy she will bring to our community.

While summer may mean a quieter campus, there’s still plenty of hard work happening behind the scenes. Please join us in welcoming Jesse Brown to the Shore community!

Mr. Brown joins us as our new Athletic Director, bringing a wealth of experience in athletics and education.

After earning a degree in Sports Administration from Castleton University, Mr. Brown completed his Master's Degree at Sheffield Hallam University in England, where he also worked with Sheffield Wednesday Football Club's youth academy. He went on to teach physical education and coach varsity soccer at Trinity School in New York City before serving as Athletic Director and PE Teacher at Falmouth Academy on Cape Cod.

When he's not on the field or in the gym, Mr. Brown enjoys running, traveling, and staying active. He is excited to make the North Shore his new home, and we are thrilled to have him join our community.

What did Summer at Shore look like? A little bit of everything! ☀️

This summer, campers filled their days with hands-on learning, outdoor adventures, creativity, teamwork, and plenty of fun with friends. From Spanish with Miss Acosta and Cubetto coding with Mrs. White to Summer Shore Olympics, arts and crafts, rock wall climbing, and theater games with Mr. March, there were always new things to explore.

And, of course, summer called for plenty of time to cool off. Water days brought out the smiles with an inflatable water slide, popsicles, and lots of chalk murals. From STEM activities like building with robots and crafting new inventions to climbing, creating, exploring, and playing, Summer Shore gave campers countless opportunities to follow their curiosity and try something new.

Thank you to everyone who made this summer one to remember and we can’t wait to see everyone next year!

For Summer Shore campers, some of the most memorable learning experiences happen when they have the opportunity to get up close with the natural world around them. A recent visit from Mass Audubon brought local sea life intl the hands of our campers through a fun, interactive show-and-tell focused on the creatures that calm our costal waters home.

The visit was made even more special by the return of Shore alum Kai Young ‘11, who has worked with Mass Audubon for the past three years. In their role, Young works with learners of all ages, from Pre-K students to adults, sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for the natural world. “It’s fun to break down information at different levels, but with the same level of excitement and curiosity,” Young shared.

During the visit, Summer Shore campers explored a mini tide pool filled with hermit crabs, snails, and crabs. Campers had the chance to observe the creatures up close, ask questions, and learn about the fascinating animals living right here in our local waters. As Young and the Mass Audubon team carefully sorted the r sea creatures to return home, Young reflected on what it was like to be back at Shore. “Coming back to Shore is sparking so many memories, and I love being able to bring joy to kids and unique experiences.”

What a week of outdoor adventure at Summer Shore! Our campers spent the week discovering the world around them through hands-on nature activities. Campers learned about local ecosystems, identified trees by their leaves, created nature-inspired rock art, and searched high and low during a woodland scavenger hunt in our Woodland Classroom. Every adventure sparked new discoveries and plenty of smiles!

Nature is one of our favorite teachers. Our Learning Garden is in full bloom this month thanks to S.A.I.L Teacher, Ms. Holland, and our students!

Earlier this spring, each student planted their own Zinnia seeds and observed the fascinating journey from seed to sprout, watching roots, stems, and leaves develop along the way. Today, those same flowers are thriving, and so are the local pollinators that visit them everyday. This hands-on experience gave students an opportunity to study the plant life cycle, and make a meaningful impact for our local ecosystem.
