This past weekend, members of the Harborlight Montessori community, including students, families, faculty, and staff, were proud to participate in the North Shore PRIDE Parade.

At Harborlight, we believe every child deserves to learn in a community where they are known, valued, and able to be fully themselves. Walking together was a joyful celebration of belonging and a reflection of our commitment to creating a school community where every person is welcomed with kindness, respect, and care.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, cheered us on, and helped make the day such a meaningful celebration. We are grateful to be part of a community that celebrates the dignity, uniqueness, and worth of every individual.

Happy Pride! 🌈💚

🎲⚔️ Calling all adventurers, strategists, and curious gamers — from novice to expert! Join us this summer for an immersive Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering experience designed for students entering Grades 4–8.

Each day is split between D&D and MTG as students learn how to:
✨ Roll and create characters
✨ Go on epic adventures and defeat fantasy foes
✨ Build and care for MTG decks
✨ Compete in a draft-style tournament

Beyond the games, students develop collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, negotiation skills, sportsmanship, bravery, compassion, probability and mapping skills — all while making new friends and having a blast.

This week, our Harborlight community has showered our teachers and staff with so much love and appreciation 💛

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Harborlight Family Association for all the thoughtful ways they celebrated our faculty this week—from a coffee cart ☕ and snacks for refueling 🍫, to beautiful flowers brought in by students 🌷, a delicious luncheon 🍽️, and even quick chair massages 💆‍♀️✨

One of the most meaningful touches has been the clay teacher portraits created by students and displayed in our main hallway 🎨🧡 Each one is filled with personality, creativity, and care, and together they beautifully reflect the relationships at the heart of our school community.

Teaching is work that asks so much of the people who do it well, and our teachers show up every day with patience, creativity, compassion, and deep dedication to children. They nurture curiosity, build confidence, create belonging, and help students feel truly known and valued each day.

Thank you to our HFA for going above and beyond to make our faculty and staff feel so celebrated this week, and thank you to our amazing teachers and staff for all that you do for our students and community. Harborlight is such a special place because of the strength, care, and generosity of this extraordinary community 💙

They spent time connecting with our students and even handed out police badge stickers to everyone in CH 😊👏

We’re so grateful for opportunities like this to build positive community connections—thank you for visiting Harborlight Montessori and for all you do to serve our community! 💙
