And just like that, SUMMER@GUS 2026 has officially come to an end! ☀️

We wrapped up an incredible summer with our Carnival Celebration! Campers enjoyed a bouncy house, face painting, handmade arcade games, and the always-entertaining dunk tank, where our counselors took their turn getting dunked!

A huge thank you to all of our amazing campers, counselors, specialists, and admin team for making this summer so memorable. We are so grateful for all the laughter, creativity, friendships, and memories made along the way. 💚

Thank you for an unforgettable summer, and we will see everyone next year!

Team Switzerland or Team Sierra Leone? 🇨🇭🇸🇱 This week at SUMMER@GUS, campers showed off their teamwork, determination, and camp spirit during our annual Summer Olympics!

The Chickadees (Pre-K–Kindergarten) opened the games with an Olympic song and torch ceremony before the Hawks (1st–3rd) and Ospreys (4th–6th/7th) competed in a variety of Olympic events. Throughout the week, each team collected points through challenges and competitions, and after an exciting week of friendly rivalry, Team Switzerland was crowned our Olympic champion!🥇🇨🇭

Finally, we wrapped up the games with an exciting counselor horse race that had everyone cheering. What an unforgettable week!

Throughout Invention Convention Week at SUMMER@GUS, campers imagined ways to make the world a little better—one invention at a time!

Using recycled materials from around campus, they transformed cardboard, plastic, and other everyday items into creative, original inventions before showcasing them at our very own science fair. Their hard work, imagination, and presentations impressed our judges, and several campers earned special certificates for their outstanding projects. A week of teamwork, spirit, and a little friendly competition at SUMMER@GUS. 💚💛

Throughout the week, campers earned points for Team Green and Team Yellow, all leading up to Color Games on Friday. Our Chickadees (Pre-K–Kindergarten) raced through a hula hoop challenge, while our Hawks (1st–3rd) and Ospreys (4th-6th/7th) took on tug-of-war—with counselors and our admin team joining in on the fun.

After a week of competition, Team Green took home the win! 💚🏆

Star Spangled Summer at SUMMER@GUS was one for the books!

Our Chickadees (Pre-K–Kindergarten) proudly marched in their festive parade, the Hawks (1st–3rd) and Ospreys (4th–6th/7th) got creative with colorful tie-dye shirts, and we wrapped up the day with one of our favorite traditions—the annual watermelon eating competition featuring our amazing counselors and admin team! 🇺🇸⭐️

The Class of 2027 took audiences on a journey through Broadway during Performing Arts Night, performing selections from Hamilton, Moana, Beauty and the Beast, Wicked, High School Musical 2, and Matilda. Their creativity, confidence, and enthusiasm were on full display. Congratulations on a wonderful performance!
