Last week, KOG students lit up the stage once again with their talent at the EXTRaordinary Talent Show! Students showcased their extraordinary talents with singing, choreographed dances, cheerleading stunts, magic, jokes, glow in the dark basketball, and even reciting Shakespeare! 🎤🌟

We are so proud of our students- Thank you to all the staff who helped make it so special and families who came to watch our hard work 💛 ✨

On May 9- KOG held our annual Walk & Roll fundraiser! Even with the ☔️ 🌧️ , our community showed up and still raised almost $10,000 for new adaptive bikes and equipment for our students!

We also brought back Art on the Hill featuring student artwork with the theme “Getting Crafty with Nature” 🍃 🌲 🌼. Enjoy!

Thank you to everyone who came out and walked, rolled, collected pledges, made donations, bought raffles, and helped raise money for an amazing cause. Even indoors, we had a big turnout of students, parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, and of course KOG staff- We are so lucky to have an amazing KOG community!!

A HUGE SHOUT OUT to our very own Robby Rowe and his band Not Bad Pretty Good for keeping everyone hyped and having fun.

Apply Now: Autism Sailing Camp in Boston

Spectrum Sailing will be hosting a FREE 3-day sailing camp in Boston, MA (August 24-26, 2026) for autistic youth ages 10–17, in partnership with Community Boating, Inc.

This program is free for families and designed to provide a supportive, hands-on introduction to sailing while building confidence, independence, and connection.

Spots are limited and applications are still open. Participants are selected through a lottery process!

Learning how to bike can be challenging for children with autism, which is why the Northeast Arc Autism Support Center hosts a bike clinic each year, so kids can learn in a safe and welcoming environment. We are deeply saddened to find out that a very special friend to our school community, Ivy.the.frenchie, passed over the rainbow bridge 🌈 🐾

Here are some throwback photos to October, when some of our KOG classrooms had the privilege of spending time with Ivy and her wonderful owner, Maureen.

Ivy, who used a wheelchair after becoming paralyzed in her back legs, was especially meaningful to our community. Our students face challenges every day and show incredible strength, perseverance, and resilience. Seeing Ivy navigate the world with determination and joy was a powerful reminder that even in the most challenging moments, we can do hard things.

Ivy brought so much joy, inspiration, and warmth to our school. Her spirit and story left a lasting impact on both students and staff.

We are so grateful for the time we had with her and the lessons she shared with us. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. 💙
