An inspiring visit at Beverly Hills High School! This week we were honored to welcome LA County Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Debra Duardo, and her Chief of Staff, Daisy Esqueda, as we showcased the culmination of our TK-12 pathways. Her presence underscored our commitment to Educational Excellence for every student. Among many other meaningful connections, she enjoyed speaking with students and staff at our College and Career Center, History/Government class, mental health NormanAid Wellness Center, and PRIME Special Education class. Then hearing about our upcoming Fashion Show in our Fashion Design class, taste testing in Culinary Arts, seeing our state-of-the-art equipment in KBEV (Digital Media Production), and was particularly impressed by our cutting-edge security Command Center. The tour was co-led by Superintendent, Dr. Bregy, and BHHS Principal, Mr. Stewart, alongside Assistant Superintendent, Student Services, Mrs. Collins-Williams and Assistant Superintendent, Education Services, Mr. Seemann who were joined by Assistant Superintendent, Business Services, Mr. Guzman, and Assistant Superintendent, Personnel Services, Dr. Horvath. 🧡💚💙💜❤️💛

Beverly Hills Black History Walk of Fame! First Lady of Motown, Claudette Robinson, visited Beverly Vista Middle School with wisdom for our future leaders during Black History Month. Beyond celebrating African-American achievements, we strive for meaningful action and conversations all year round. This incredible exhibition showcases notable current and former African-American Beverly Hills residents who have richly contributed to America. Features include Lenny Kravitz, Claudette and Smokey Robinson, Diahann Carroll, Sammy Davis Jr, Clarence and Jacquline Avant, Greg Morris, Phil Morris, and more! The event literally rolled out the red carpet and was attended by Board of Education Members, City Officials, and Commissioners. The presentation truly united members of Beverly Hills past and present. Thank you BVMS PTA for enabling this important event. 💚

Counting on Excellence! Hawthorne Elementary’s math stars shined at our BHUSD Board of Education Meeting last night where Ms. Mizrahi’s first graders showcased their mastery in ‘Counting Collections.’ Congratulations to Ms. Mizrahi on a sensational presentation giving us a thorough look into her teaching methods. First grade students Jolene Janfaza, Dylan Levian, Olivia Ischayek, and Kyle Rahimi not only demonstrated their impressive math skills but also led the Pledge of Allegiance and recited our Mission and Vision Statements with pride. To watch the meeting visit 💙
