Winning state championships in theatre, forensic, and debate in a single school year is an extraordinary accomplishment and a testament to the dedication, talent, and determination of Groves students, coaches, teachers, parents, and the entire Groves and Birmingham Public Schools community.
While each of these programs has earned state titles in the past, this marks the first time all three have achieved championship success in the same year — a rare and remarkable milestone within the speech and performing arts community. Success is never guaranteed, which makes moments like these especially meaningful and worthy of celebration.
This achievement reflects the culture of excellence, collaboration, and perseverance cultivated within our programs. Through theatre, forensic, and debate, students develop lifelong skills in communication, critical thinking, leadership, creativity, and confident self-expression that will continue to serve them far beyond high school.
We are grateful for the continued support of the Groves community and look forward to building on this tradition of excellence for years to come. Go Falcons!

We’re proud to share that Groves High School has been recognized with Evergreen Status by Michigan Green Schools! 🌿💚

This is the highest level of achievement, awarded to schools that demonstrate an ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, sustainability practices, and green initiatives year after year. From reducing waste and conserving energy to promoting eco-friendly habits across our school community, this recognition reflects the dedication of our students, staff, and supporters.

Thank you to everyone who continues to make Groves a greener place to learn and grow. Together, we’re making a lasting impact—today and for the future. 🌎✨

Groves Mural Club, lead by art teacher Tony Fink, installed a collaborative mural in the student commons before spring break, a recreation of Diego Rivera’s Detroit Industrial Murals. The piece took nearly two years to make, involved dozens of students, and is made of 64 individual pieces done in various media. We hope you are able to come view this beautiful addition to the Groves commons!
