A technique is more than just the finish.
Control the position. Create the reaction. Capture the arm. Transition around the head. Finish the armbar.
These photos weren’t staged — they were taken as the students actually worked through each step of the technique.
Mistakes are made, spotted, and fixed along the way. One of the details we're working on is not giving our opponent too much space during the transition — learning to stay tight and maintain control from one position to the next.
We don't want our students to simply memorize moves. We want them to understand how and why they work, recognize when something isn't right, and learn how to correct it.
That's where the real learning happens.
