Dear DCFS,
Your Assistant Regional Administrator, Mark J. Williams, has been advocating for my adoptive mother, since social workers removed us from her nursing home on July 19, 2021. Is that why we were returned to her? Should a DCFS representative ever advocate for the abuser?
Sincerely,
The Ones They Returned

Dear DCFS,
I guess it wasn't enough that our adoptive mother allowed my sister to sleep with our nanny's husband, that her nursing home staff forced us to sleep with the patients in the nursing home, that we were choked, stabbed, kicked, thrown into walls, forced into cold showers in the middle of the night, slapped, punched, beaten with brushes, hangers, sat on, and so much more. On Thursday, February 10, 2022, my sister and I received your verdict- a life sentence. So today, I would like to thank all of your employees at Edmund D. Edelman Court, the Los Angeles County Counsel, and the Children's Law Center for putting us back with our abusive adoptive mother.

Dear DCFS,
A mandated reporter watched my adoptive mother beat me for 20 minutes and stopped me from defending myself, so that I could beaten for 20 more. No one intervened and no one stopped her, not even you.
Sincerely,
The Abused
Dear DCFS,
We were punching bags for all of the nursing home staff, anyone could hit us.
Sincerely,
Victim
Dear DCFS,
My adoptive mother put me on the floor, wrapped her legs around me and beat me on the bottom of my feet, with a hanger, until my nose bled. I guess that isn't considered child abuse, since you have decided to return me to my abuser. How much more do you think I can endure?
Sincerely,
The Victim
Dear DCFS,
My adoptive mother forced me to live at Chelsea Home Health Care, a nursing home for mentally and physically disabled adults. Ms. Kim, a staff member, stripped me naked and beat me with a belt. Another staff member, Ms. Beverly, struck me in the face, multiple times, with a spatula. I guess no one told my mother, a nursing home is no place to raise a child.
Sincerely,
A Victim
Dear DCFS,
I slept with my nanny's husband at 5 years old for a month, while my adoptive mother was on vacation. She never reported him to the police and later sent us back to them.
Sincerely,
The Victim
