I Am Human…
Neither an angel… nor a devil.
Sometimes, despair finds its way into my heart.
I look around and see the oppressor becoming more oppressive…
The thief becoming wealthier…
The arrogant becoming even more arrogant…
The tyrant growing stronger…
As though this world rewards those who deserve it the least.
And on the other side…
I see the weak becoming weaker…
The broken becoming more broken…
The poor sinking deeper into poverty…
And the oppressed going to sleep every night, still waiting for justice that never seems to come.
In moments like these…
The heart asks before the mind does:
Where is justice?
Then I return…
I return to my faith.
And I remind myself that this is not the end of the story.
For if this world were the final chapter…
Then injustice would have won.
If life ended at the grave…
Then tyrants would be the happiest of all people.
But Allah never promised this world would be the place of final justice.
He made it a place of tests, not ultimate rewards.
And He promised that there is a Day when…
”…Allah will judge between them concerning that over which they used to differ.” (Qur’an 16:124)
On that Day…
Power will be meaningless.
Wealth will be worthless.
No one will be able to protect another.
Kings will stand beside beggars.
The powerful beside the weak.
The oppressor face to face with the oppressed.
All of them standing before their Lord with nothing except their deeds.
On that Day…
Not a single tear shed by the oppressed will be forgotten.
Not a single sigh from a broken heart will be ignored.
Not a single sincere supplication born from pain will be lost.
On that Day…
Every right will be restored.
Every injustice will be answered.
The Prophet ﷺ told us that even the hornless sheep will receive justice from the horned one.
So what, then, of one human who wronged another?
That is why…
Whenever this world feels unbearably heavy…
Whenever justice seems delayed…
Whenever evil appears to be winning…
I whisper to myself:
Be patient…
The case has not been closed.
The court has not yet convened.
The verdict has not yet been delivered.
And the Judge…
is Allah.
Ahmed…
If Allah is the One who judges with perfect justice,
then never let delayed rulings shake your heart.
His judgment is always true, always just, and always on time.

How many people are exposed when they make a mistake?
How many sinners are humiliated, shamed, and pushed away when they fall?
But look at how Muhammad ﷺ dealt with people…
There was a young Companion named Nu‘aym ibn Jubayr He was known for his fondness for women and for enjoying their company. He had embraced Islam, but like many of us, he was still struggling with some of the habits and weaknesses of his past.
One day, while traveling with the Prophet ﷺ and the Companions, the caravan stopped to rest.
As the people settled down, Nu‘aym noticed a group of women sitting together, talking and laughing.
His heart was drawn toward them.
He returned to his belongings, put on his finest clothes, then went and sat with them, chatting and enjoying their company.
For a moment, he forgot where he was.
He forgot that he was traveling with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
Then suddenly, he heard a voice behind him:
“O Abu Abdullah, what is keeping you seated with them?”
He turned around…
And there stood the Prophet ﷺ.
Startled and embarrassed, he quickly searched for an excuse and replied:
“O Messenger of Allah, one of my camels has wandered off, and I was asking these women if they had seen it.”
The Prophet ﷺ could have exposed him.
He could have corrected him publicly.
He could have embarrassed him in front of everyone.
But he did none of that.
Instead…
He smiled gently and walked away.
A little later, he passed by again and asked:
“O Abu Abdullah, what happened to your camel?”
The young man felt even more embarrassed.
The next day:
“What happened to your camel?”
And the day after:
“What happened to your camel?”
The Prophet ﷺ was not asking about a camel.
He was healing a heart.
He was not exposing a mistake.
He was educating a soul.
He was not trying to punish the sinner.
He was trying to save him.
Every time Nu‘aym heard the question, it pierced his heart like an arrow.
The shame became unbearable.
He began avoiding the Prophet ﷺ.
He stayed away from gatherings.
He even avoided the mosque out of embarrassment.
Days later, he entered the mosque when it was empty, hoping to pray quickly and leave unnoticed.
But to his surprise, the Prophet ﷺ entered the mosque.
Out of embarrassment, Nu‘aym deliberately prolonged his prayer, hoping the Prophet ﷺ would leave.
But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ understood exactly what was happening.
So he said:
“O Abu Abdullah, take as long as you wish in your prayer, for by Allah, I am not leaving until you finish.”
What mercy is this?
What heart is this?
When Nu‘aym finally completed his prayer, he sat before the Prophet ﷺ with tears in his eyes and said:
“By the One Who sent you with the truth, I will never do that again.”
He confessed.
He apologized.
He repented.
The Prophet ﷺ did not say:
“I told you so.”
“I warned you.”
“Now everyone knows what you did.”
Instead, he simply said:
“Now, O Abu Abdullah…”
Then he said:
“May Allah have mercy on you, O Abu Abdullah.”
And he repeated it.
“May Allah have mercy on you, O Abu Abdullah.”
Then a third time.
“May Allah have mercy on you, O Abu Abdullah.”
Then he placed his blessed hand on the young man’s chest and made a du‘a:
“O Allah, grant him the sweetness of faith.”
SubhanAllah…
He did not curse him.
He prayed for him.
He did not break his spirit.
He repaired his heart.
He did not push him away.
He embraced him with mercy.
He did not define him by his mistake.
He helped him rise above it.
That was Muhammad ﷺ.
He saw beyond the sin and recognized a human being in need of compassion.
He saw beyond the mistake and recognized a heart in need of guidance.
He saw beyond the weakness and recognized a soul that still carried goodness within it.
This is why he transformed ordinary people into extraordinary people.
Not through humiliation.
Not through harshness.
But through mercy.
How many fathers need to learn this lesson?
How many mothers?
How many teachers?
How many community leaders?
Not every person who falls needs to be exposed.
Sometimes they simply need a caring hand on their shoulder…
A sincere prayer made for them…
And someone who still believes that there is goodness inside them waiting to be awakened.
May Allah grant us the sweetness of faith, and may He bless us with a portion of the mercy, wisdom, and compassion of His beloved Messenger Muhammad ﷺ.

On the night the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ married Safiyyah رضي الله عنها, who had only recently embraced Islam, a man stood outside the Prophet’s tent carrying his weapon, keeping watch through the night.
No one had asked him to do it.
The Prophet ﷺ himself did not know.
But it was love.
It was loyalty.
It was concern for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
That man was Abu Ayyub al-Ansari
When the Prophet ﷺ came out and saw him standing guard, he asked:
“What are you doing here, Abu Ayyub?”
Abu Ayyub replied:
“O Messenger of Allah, I feared for you. Her family had been killed in battle, and I worried that grief might lead her to do something unexpected. So I stood here to guard you.”
The Prophet ﷺ smiled at this sincere devotion and made a remarkable supplication for him:
“May Allah protect you, Abu Ayyub, in life and after death.”
Years passed.
The Prophet ﷺ returned to his Lord.
The Muslim armies carried the message of Islam across continents.
And Abu Ayyub, despite being over eighty years old, refused to remain behind.
Age did not weaken his determination.
He joined the army marching toward the walls of Constantinople, hoping to be among the people referred to in the Prophet’s famous prophecy:
“Constantinople will surely be conquered. What an excellent leader its leader will be, and what an excellent army that army will be.”
But the conquest was not destined for that generation.
During the siege, Abu Ayyub became gravely ill.
Sensing that his end was near, he gave an extraordinary request:
“When I die, carry me as far into the enemy’s territory as you can, and bury me near the walls of Constantinople.”
Even in death, he wanted to remain at the frontier of service to Allah.
And so he was buried there…
At the gates of the city…
Within sight of the Byzantine forces and their rulers.
Centuries later, when Constantinople was finally conquered, his grave was rediscovered and honored. A mosque was built beside it, and his resting place remains one of the most famous Islamic landmarks in Istanbul to this day.
Pause for a moment and reflect.
A man spent a single night guarding the Messenger of Allah ﷺ out of pure love and sincerity.
And the Prophet ﷺ prayed for him:
“May Allah protect you in life and after death.”
Allah preserved his name.
Allah elevated his memory.
Allah made generations remember him long after kings, rulers, and empires had disappeared.
This is the power of sincere deeds.
The world may consider them small.
But when they are done for Allah, their impact can echo across centuries.
Never underestimate a moment of loyalty.
Never underestimate an act of service.
Never underestimate a deed done purely for the sake of Allah.
For a single sincere action may outlive you, inspire nations, and become a source of honor long after you are gone.
May Allah be pleased with Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, and may He reward him abundantly for his service to Islam and to His beloved Messenger ﷺ.
