Pleasant Valley High School Service-Learning Program

IMMEDIATE NEED

I met with the Buffalo Bill Museum today on ways we could assist them.

One thing they are desperately in search of is:

Trivia Night Assistant
This position would assist in creating the PowerPoint/Google Slides presentation for the trivia night. 100 questions over 10 different categories would have to be created. The individual chosen would assist in picking categories, creating the slide show, inserting pictures/music/video, and working the event.

The person chosen will need to meet with the Buffalo Bill Museum early next week and then be ready and run the trivia slideshow at the event on Saturday April 20th at 6pm (report times that day would be 5pm-10:30pm).

If interested, email Mrs Myatt. Explain why you are interested in this project. Qualified applicants will need to do a video or in person interview with a representative for the Buffalo Bill Museum.

Great for history buffs, people interested in event management/fundraising, or in the area of tourism.

Calling all students! Spring break is almost here and they are looking for volunteers to help clean up the gardens to help the new plants grow. If you are still in need of service hours, this is a great opportunity for you to get them done! Please note, we ask you very kindly to wear closed toed shoes, dress for the weather, and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty in.

While we are excited about the warm weather, we are a bit said that our Sun Garden sand pile is going to be taken out of the Sun Garden here soon. We are looking for volunteers to help us remove the sand from the Sun Garden. Shoveling, bending over, squatting, and hauling are to be expected, so volunteers who can handle the demand are encouraged to sign up.

LeClaire Parks & Rec. will need some volunteers to help set over 15, 000 eggs out, guide people to the right fields, help walk the easter bunny around, and Help clean up to make sure all eggs were picked up. if you want to work the full event that is great! please report to Huckleberry park by the pavilion at 12:45 pm. we will only have a short time to get things set up before the community starts to arrive. Please find Heather Richardel or Greg Ludwig as soon as you get there to check in and to get your job for the event. They will be the Only one to sign your paper once the event is over. They will contact you a few days before event to make sure you are still available.

Volunteers are needed to assist with spring cleanup. Weather permitting, volunteers will work to remove all decorations from each section of the cemetery and all mausoleum decorations. The cleanup involves standing, walking, and kneeling.
