Team 2554, the War Hawks, is John P. Stevens High School’s FIRST Robotics team. THE ELECTRICAL TEAM organizes and puts together the electrical board.

Every year high school students have 6-weeks to complete FIRST’s Robotics Challenge. They must design and build a robot that can successfully compete against teams from across the nation at regional competitions. Our team is divided into four separate sub-teams: Mechanical, Electrical, Programming, CAD, and Marketing. MECHANICAL is in charge of creating a prototype and the physical construction o

Well, we finished 17th out of 60. Not bad for our first trip to District Championship. Unfortunately, we were skipped over for Alliance selection, (due to the other abilities needed in the 3 team alliance), but it’s ok. The kids, at times, put on a clinic on how to run a robot and play this game. We had a great season! We won a Quality Award, a Sustainability Award, we were a finalist at Seneca, a semifinalist at Centennial and we had a good run at District Championships.

District wise, we were only 5 places out from a trip to Houston for worlds. The kids are disappointed how today turned out, but pretty happy about how the 2025 season turned out. Very proud of these kids!
