MISSION STATEMENT OF PENNSYLVANIA REIKI CONSORTIUM


To raise public awareness of the professional practice of Reiki as a form of lifestyle medicine in the Lehigh Valley and to provide opportunities for people to experience Reiki in affordable venues. To sponsor a public Reiki clinic in the Lehigh Valley

To participate in community health events. To promote volunteer activity in hospice and senior centers. To be of service to businesses and organizations, supporting corporate wellness through wellness consulting. To promote the professional practice of Reiki in the Lehigh Valley via: memberships in professional organizations, ethical practitioner and teaching protocols, sponsorship of Reiki speakers for continuing education for Reiki teachers and learners in the larger community. To support collegial relationships among Reiki practitioners and Reiki teachers in the Lehigh Valley Region. To attract Consortium members with training and commitment to health and human services, especially inviting Reiki trained- holistic medical practitioners, nurses, massage therapists who have professional liability insurance.

For those who may not have heard yet, it is with a sad heart that I report the loss of a dear friend and one of the co-founders of The Pennsylvania Reiki Consortium, Paula Michal-Johnson. Paula passed away surrounded by her loving family and close friends at St. Luke's Hospice house on Friday. Paula was an amazing driving force behind many of The Pennsylvania Reiki Consortium's activities, especially our annual conference.
