I want to share with you a letter the Class of 1979 received from BCHS. My heart is so full that we as a class were able to “pay it forward.”

The night of our reunion we held a very successful basket raffle. The committee decided that money we raised would go to a young man from BECA named Alex Tucker. Both of Alex’s parents passed away. He lost his father in 2010 and his mother in 2018. It was Alex’s wish to continue attending BCHS, however, it would be a hardship for him to meet his financial (tuition) responsibilities. The wonderful and caring people of the Becahi community started a fund to help make Alex’s wish come true.

So, the raffle proceeds in combination with some donations and a few dollars left in our reunion bank account allowed our class to donate $1000 to help Alex. What a tremendous gift! It is such a wonderful feeling to know we were a part of helping this young man complete his high school years and graduate from Bethlehem Catholic!!!!

Just a few announcements before the big event.

The attire for the reunion is business casual. Feel free to wear whatever you want, however, jeans are not permitted.

On Friday, October 25th, we will be attending the Beca/Central Catholic football game....the HOLY WAR. Prior to the game we would like to gather at Tocci's Tailgaters, 1313 Center Street, Bethlehem, grab a bite to eat and have a few drinks at around 5 o"clock. Kick off is at 7:00. We will be within walking distance of Bethlehem Area School District Stadium and a section will be roped off for our class. Tickets for the game are $6.00 each. If anyone would like me to purchase tickets beforehand I will do so.

Message me and let me know who will be at Tocci's and who would like me to get a ticket for the game in advance.

JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER......

The deadline for returning the reunion invitations is October 1st.....If you have not yet sent yours back, please do so. If you are aware of anyone who did not get an invitation, please message me (Lynn) and I will make sure one gets out to them.

We will be having a tricky tray the night of the reunion. If anyone is interested in donating a basket please contact Kim Corrodo-Pulley at 610-709-7705.
