Got Your Back- Backpack Program at Wesley Church

Want to get out for dinner before the storm? Or maybe grab a home cooked meal to stock your fridge for during the weather?

Head to Wesley UMC TONIGHT from 4-8 for a full pork dinner including: roast pork, mashed potatoes, green beans, sauerkraut, roll, and dessert.

$15 per adult, $8 kids 12 and under.
Dine in or take out

All proceeds benefit the We Got Your Back program.

The Pork and Sauerkraut Fundraising dinner scheduled for tomorrow, January 17th has been postponed to next Saturday, January 24th due to weather.

We realize that there is also inclement weather currently forecasted for the 24th and will be keeping an eye on the situation throughout the week to keep everyone updated on our plans.

Please note that we have postponed tonight's backpack pickup until next Wednesday 8/6 due to the impending storms. We don't want to have our guests standing out in the rain waiting for us to open or if there are more than we can fit inside. Thank you!!!

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our event on Saturday! We had wonderful weather and hope you all had a great time.

For those who were unable to make it out, we have posted our pickup night as an event here on Facebook. It will be this Thursday, 7/24/25 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. (Please know how many backpacks you need, what county the kids live in, and what school district they attend. Also, please arrive by 7:45 as we will be closing our doors at 8).

Our sister church First UMC of Bangor is also hosting their event this Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the Blue Valley Farm Show center. This is another opportunity to pickup a backpack, hygiene kit, and socks/underwear.
