Got Your Back- Backpack Program at Wesley Church

Got Your Back- Backpack Program at Wesley Church Got Your Back provides backpacks of school supplies at a festival each summer to help local kids.

Wesley Church will hold a one-day event on Saturday, August 20, 2022 to distribute filled backpacks to elementary school-aged children in need. Not only will children pick up backpacks, but they will also receive new socks and underwear to get ready for school. Our goal is to distribute more than 1500 backpacks to families in need.

It's Backpack Day! Bring the kids and come on out to Wesley Church at 2540 Center Street from 10 AM until 2 PM today.

Backpacks, school supplies, new socks and underwear, food, crafts, games, face painting, a bounce house, yoga, books, and more!

Have fun and get ready for the new school year with us today!

REMINDER: There are no after event pickups scheduled this year so you must come today if you would like to receive a backpack, etc.

We Got Your Back is just 3 days away!!

Join us at Wesley Church at 2540 Center Street in Bethlehem PA for a great day getting the kids ready for the new school year.

Kids will receive a new backpack with supplies and packages of new socks and underwear. They can also have some lunch, pick out some books, get their face painted, play games, make crafts, and even try out the bounce house.

REMINDER: We are not hosting post-event pickups this year so make sure to stop by on Saturday!

Want to get out for dinner before the storm? Or maybe grab a home cooked meal to stock your fridge for during the weather?

Head to Wesley UMC TONIGHT from 4-8 for a full pork dinner including: roast pork, mashed potatoes, green beans, sauerkraut, roll, and dessert.

$15 per adult, $8 kids 12 and under.

All proceeds benefit the We Got Your Back program.

The Pork and Sauerkraut Fundraising dinner scheduled for tomorrow, January 17th has been postponed to next Saturday, January 24th due to weather.

We realize that there is also inclement weather currently forecasted for the 24th and will be keeping an eye on the situation throughout the week to keep everyone updated on our plans.
