Today, 34 former Garden Club members spent time in our garden participating in the Great Southeast Pollinator Census! Students each chose a plant and spent 15 minutes carefully observing and tallying every insect that landed on it. 🔎🐝🦋

What a great opportunity for our Stars to be citizen scientists while learning more about the important role pollinators play in our environment!

A special thank you to Ashley Lowery from Farm Bureau, Josh Grant from the UGA Extension Office in Winder, and Master Gardener Linda Crumley for joining us and helping make this experience possible!

📚 Mrs. Reid is making her way around BES, one story at a time! 💙💛

This month, Mrs. Reid has been making her way into classrooms for one of her favorite things, sharing a good book with our students! Whether students are dreaming big with When You Dream Big by Peter H. Reynolds or remembering that School Is More Than a Building by Kelly Donner, she loves the chance to spend time together, enjoy a story, and talk about what makes our school such a special place.

There are still more classrooms to visit, and Mrs. Reid is looking forward to every one! ⭐📖

We had some special guests helping us welcome our Stars this morning!⭐Apalachee High School football players and cheerleaders joined us to start the day with lots of high fives, fist bumps, and spirit! 🙌

Tonight is the Battle of Barrow, and we hope to see you there cheering them on! 🏈📣
