Excited to join the great advocates in the BASD Proud Parents for a post card writing event tonight at Country Club Brewing in Bethlehem!

If you’re local and want to stop out to write a postcard to your local legislator asking them to support public education in the upcoming state budget, we’ll be here from 5-7 PM!

This is a great time to remind our state legislators to support public schools – let’s thank them for all they’ve done and encourage them to keep advocating for public school funding.

Join us for happy hour and write postcards to your state reps with us! The parent organization with the most attendees can win $500 (minimum of 10 needed, students count).

We’ll be meeting at from 5-7 on Friday, Feb 20. DM us with questions and we hope to see you there!

Governor Shapiro’s 2026 budget address tomorrow will shape the conversation about public education funding, cyber charter reform, adequacy funding and more.

After months of waiting, we finally got the news we were waiting for and our state budget was finally approved. We know that bills and budgets are not the easiest to understand; we’ll keep reposting useful information and breaking it down for folks. Check our stories and follow to learn more.

One important takeaway: our voices mattered to the legislators who voted for the budget. Keep using your voice to advocate for public schools – it’s working!

Today the folks at Education Voters PA delivered our postcards to legislators in the Lehigh Valley. Keep showing up – your voice matters!

Awesome turnout at our postcard happy hour last night! 52 community members showed up to write 90 postcards to legislators! 📬

Congratulations to Spring Garden PTO for bringing the most people and won $500 for their school! Thomas Jefferson PTO came in a close second and won $250!

Huge thank you to Country Club Brewing for hosting our crew! 🙏

Our very own Greg Vennemann received an Outstanding Volunteer Award from Northampton County for his work leading the Proud Parents and advocating for our kids. We’re so proud of him and so happy to see him recognized for his hard work!
