Playing Football since 1884 Since its birth in 1884 the Lehigh football program has been one of the most successful in Eastern football.
The Brown and White have won the Lambert Cup, given to the top Eastern college football team, eight times. Lehigh won the NCAA Division II National Championship in 1977 and played in the second Division I-AA Championship Game in 1979.
