Kappa Delta is raising money to benefit our national philanthropy, Prevent Child Abuse America, and our local beneficiary located here in the Lehigh Valley, Project Child. Today's is Jenna Guma. She says, "I never fully understood the cliché 'go with your gut' until I joined KD my freshman year, and it became the best decision I made in college. Though I looked around at pref night and knew no one, these would be the girls who would buy me baking ingredients when they knew I was having a bad week, who would scream at the TV with me on football Sundays, who would would motivate me to be better just by being themselves. KD has made me into a more confident leader and individual. These girls are my most trusted sources of advice, my listening ear even when I speak too quickly to be comprehended, and by far, my greatest source of entertainment."

Today's is Charlotte Lynn. Here is an awesome story about one of her best memories of Kappa Delta! "Only my second semester in Kappa Delta I went home one weekend to visit friends in New Hampshire. Traveling back late Sunday night, I missed the very last bus from Newark to Lehigh and found myself stranded at the airport at 2am alone. I was distressed from a day of traveling and had no options left. I put a frantic message in my sorority’s GroupMe asking for help but at the same time realizing the magnitude of the favor I was asking. Without a moment’s hesitation, four of my sisters jumped in a car and made the hour long trek to get me when half of them had an exam to study for the next morning. Overwhelmed by the generosity of these girls I barely knew I was almost in tears when they arrived. They threw me in the car and proceeded to blast 90’s throwback music the entire way home until I was forced to laugh and sing along. I never expected to find friends like these at Lehigh, and as someone who never thought of joining Greek life before college, I especially did not expect to find them within my sorority. As I look forward to my final year at Lehigh, I know that I have Kappa Delta to thank for these amazing women that I couldn’t be prouder to call my closest friends."

Today's is Megan Matthews. She says, "When I joined KD I was not entirely sure what I was signing up for. They were brand new, they did not yet have a house, and we had all meetings and events in academic buildings. However, my decision to go with the “new” sorority when rushing was the best decision I have made at Lehigh. I have gotten to see the chapter grow and plant its roots here and in a way I have been able to grow with it. It gave me roots of my own and a support system of newly found friends and has now become the force that pushes me past my comfort zone every day. I would not be who currently am had I not chosen to go with the new house freshman year. I am so thankful I took that risk because my best college memories are with Kappa Deltas." You have been an amazing addition to our chapter and we will miss you Megan!

Today's is Laura Chan! She says, "Being an only child, I’ve never had siblings to look up to for guidance or advice. Yet through Kappa Delta, I’m very grateful to have the most supportive, confident, and hilarious sisters by my side. Through KD I have not only made lifelong friends, but it has provided me with leadership opportunities and experiences that have only benefited my personal and professional growth. Being a sister in Kappa Delta has taught me about the importance of giving back to an organization through community service, sisterhood, and leadership positions, and this is something I couldn’t have learned without the close-knit sisterhood that I’m very proud to be a part of."

Today's is our amazing President Stephanie Gutman. She says, "Kappa Delta has really shaped my experience at Lehigh. Not only has it given me my closest friends and the best support system but it has given me opportunities that I would have never imagined. Serving as Theta Zeta's third president has been an extremely rewarding experience and I could not have done it with out the confidence this chapter has given me and the support from my sisters. Our chapter has already done so many amazing things and I can't wait to watch it continue to grow." We love you Steph!
