I took that roots to wings building from rags to riches and now my storage unit is cleared and I have 7 kids in my home daycare as of today. I am caring for little babies again which I missed dearly.
What many people didn't know is I had $0 when I started. I got a little help from my family, and I built everything from the ground up. In sept 2024 I had to take on another job due to being in a toxic household, and needing my own space. I took on a full time overnight position play sheetz while also building my dreams. I worked 40 hours overnight and 60+ hours at the daycare. I became homeless soon after. And I still showed up, dessed with a smile on my face. I slept 1-3 hours a day if I was lucky. You and your children truly was the joy in needed to get through the day.
After going to orientation in May, and the state didnt know how to license me, I began to feel over defeated. The state harrassed me by coming out month after month all while not helping with the licensing papers. My rent went up over $600 since leasing the space and I left paying 3600/month. I just couldnt do it anymore.
I left for mass on a temporary basis and told my landlord I would be back, in 2/3 weeks. While I was gone he showed my space to people without my knowledge , and called my space abandoned. He gave me no notice to get my stuff out of there. I had to get down to PA and immediately get my stuff out of there. It was absolutely heart breaking.
I put every ounce of myself into roots to wings & I deeply appreciate you bringing your children to me. Wheather it was for stay and play or drop in. My heart is in lehigh valley. It always has been and I told yall I would be back and trust and believe o will because lehigh valley and PA needs roots to wings as resource.
Thank you everyone for your continued support.
